Channel Links Changing, Ye Ol Celtic Pub & Celt-Rock-Radio

Two of our channels will be changing very soon from SonixCast to TorontoCast. This will bring all of our channels under the umbrella of TorontoCast.

Ye Old Celtic Pub & Celtic-Rock-Radio should be updated very soon, so just be sure you are using the right tune in links on our website, mobile or App or you might hear just silence!

These channels are going to be using a different system for streaming called IceCast - it is very similar to Shoutcast, but it is open source. In fact, it can emulate shoutcast and perform a whole bunch of other features which we will need to learn about.

For you the listener, no worries - the links will be updated very soon and there is nothing more you need to do.

This is the perfect time for us to "try" out IceCast for our broadcast servers since ShoutCast appears to be moving towards an advertisement model and while in-stream advertising with them is currently optional, we want to have a solution available in the event it becomes mandatory. IceCast is Open Source and does not have any advertising built into it. So we might be exploring this option more in the future!

Have the channels been updated yet? I was using the radionomy links but when I turn on the player it says that it is not available in my country.
