Arrgghh, the accursed English are here, I hear you cry?
Well, I AM English but I'm from Liverpool in North West England which probably makes me a third Irish, a third Welsh and only a third English.
I've enjoyed lurking on your forum for a while and I thought I'd register and introduce myself.
I am a great fan of Celtic and other folk music, I can't hear the bagpipes without getting goosebumps.
If you like your Celts, Liverpool is not a bad place to live. It's handy for Ireland and extremely handy for Wales (the National Park in North Wales is one of my favourite haunts). Scotland is more of a trek but I took my family up to Galloway last year for a holiday and got to hear some great piping.
Regards
John
We're going to the Isle of Man this year, but I'd class them as Vikings rather than Celts!
Welcome to the Celtic Radio forum Dopplershift. I am glad that you decided to introduce yourself. I hope you will continue to enjoy the fantastic music and the people here are very nice. I wish you a wonderful trip to Isle of Man. I hope you will let us know how it went and may be even a few photos.
And I'm a Reeves, so don't worry. The English fit in just fine around here.

...but I'm from Liverpool in North West England...
Are Steeleye Span from up around that way? I know they've been around since before I was born, but I've just recently discovered their music and absolutely love it.
