My daughter gave me a new granddaughter late yesterday afternoon. She weighs 7 lbs 2ozs. and is 21 inches long. Mother and daughter and father all doing well. I am thinkink how this new granddaughter will affect our family. Her brother and sister spend several nights a week with me and grandma. I enjoy taking them to school. We have a positive influence over these two grankkids and I pray that we will have the same influence over this new born. All the grandkids have to do is walk up the hill to our house. It has had an effect on grandfather and grandmother's privacy sometimes. We have learned to lock the door. We know they are at the door as the door bell has a meltdown. I would not have it any other way. cool.gif

Congrats!~Coastman
Babies are such a blessing. I'm still waiting for my first grandbaby.

Talking about babies... I've got finishing up a baby quilt on my mind today and to start another. I am making them for twin boys born to a friend of my husband.

Thinking about my three girls at home today. They are not too cool to call me "Daddy" and tell me they love me. I am one blessed father.

My 92-year-old mother-in-law is in the hospital and not doing well. We have been told this may be it for her.........but then we were told that 9 years ago. So we'll see....but I have a feeling that this may be it. So my thoughts and prayers are with her and my hubby's family right now.

oh gosh, I most certainly don't envy you all who live that in that horrible icy and snowy weather. Of course, we are not perfect here in AZ. We get some of the worst lightening strikes in the world and it destroys people's homes. Then there are the flash floods and the people who get stuck and even killed. No place is perfect, is there?

What's on my mind? Safety for you all whereever you are.

cr- that is sweet, we are out of the big storm now, but I too pray for those to be safe who are encountering it now. Oh and I would hate the lightning like that. That would be terrible.

what is on my mind today is how to get everything done, the house, more homework, etc. without my kids turning it into a diaster area again sad.gif
