i went to see lord of the dance on saturday night in milwaukee....
the singer was Deirdre Shannon... i was just amazed at the production.

i had seen it on PBS tv at one point with flatley dancing the lead and wasnt impressed with some of the costuming then.... but all the stuff i didnt like was not there and it kicked arse!!! the young guy that danced the lead was incredible and had such a personable persona.... i can not think of one bad thing to say about it other than it was over way to fast (perception)... i highly recommend it if it comes to your area and you havent seen it.

oh to be young again. crybaby.gif wheelchair.gif

ps... couldnt make out any redheads for sure....

I am waiting till we can afford to go see Riverdance, I have wanted to see that in person for a few years now!

Actually yours sounds just as good, but to be in the same room with all that celtic energy would be wonderful!

Glad to hear you had a great time dundee. I would love to see this production. Deirdre Shannon has such a beautiful voice. I will be sure to see it if it ever comes my way.

I have always wanted to see it, but living in the middle of nowhere makes it a little difficult. I have seen it on tv also, but to see it live would be the ultimate. I am glad you were able to see it.

I saw them about seven years ago when they came to Bozeman, MT. I was so surprised that they would even travel out there. I'm sure it wasn't their 'A' touring company. It was an amazing show. A little silly at times, but I think that has to do with the story line. Anytime you can see a big group like that, it is worth it.

I missed River Dance here and would give anything to see Lord of the Dance someday. I love to watch the dancers and I hope we have some good ones here at Highland Games. The little ones are so cute and try so hard. I am hoping to be able to get my embroiderer set up so I can make some of the costumes locally.

Excellent idea, Dundee. A 45 minute plane ride would get me to the bay area.
And the "Dance" teams are always in California.
