Hey everyone,

So my hobby is crocheting and it's really blossomed in the last few months. Much to the chagrine of my husband, hehe.

Anyone know of where I can find any cool celtic patterns?

What are your hobbies?

Hey everyone!

Well it's been a while since I've been in here. The last time I was active my husband and I were expecting our first baby. Well all went well, we had a baby girl and 4 years later we added 2 more girls to our clan smile.gif

I still received the Celtic Radio newsletter so ya'll were always on my mind. I've missed this forum. People here are awesome, plus it's so much fun to share your love of all things Celtic with other people who understand your obsession smile.gif

I hope to become active again b/c I have missed it.

I saw the concert version on PBS the other day and in my opinion it was ok. I liked the first album much better. I thought with the first album it was a little more traditional is that makes sense. With this new album they throw in a lot of non-celtic songs. I really didn't like their version of "Beyond the Sea" I thought that it wasn't a very good version. Again this is my opinion. I loved the first album but I think I'm going to pass on this new album it's not celtic enough for me and I don't like some of the versions of newer songs they did.

This is a fun story. I actually haven't thought about it in a long time!

When I was 12, which was 12 years ago, everyone in my family had the flu except me and my dad. My mom, and my 5 sisters and my 3 brothers (Gwen, Tom, Steph, Becket, Anna, Andrew, Brady, and Maddy) all had the flu very very badly. My dad and I spent all Christmas Eve and Day taking care of the sickies. There was vomit a plenty! It wasn't bad though. My dad and I spent all the time taking care of them but they were very grateful for it. While my dad did all the cooking for those who could stomach some food and the cooking for me and him, I did all the pillow fluffing and puke cleaning. The best part of that christmas though was that since all the kids didn't have any energy to open their presents I got to open all of the presents for everyone!!! Each kid had three presents so I got to open a total of 27 presents! I've never opened so many presents in my life. And since my siblings were also too sick to play with any of the toys they let me open all of the toys and play with all of them. It was so much fun! I got to open all the presents, eat all the cookies, play music, it was crazy! After being able to do that, cleaning up a ton of puke all week long didn't seem so much like a chore anymore!

Merry Christmas!

My family has great traditions!!! We're a pretty strict Catholic family so we don't start celebrating Christmas until Christmas Eve. Before that we celebrate Advent. Anyway, we put up the tree on Christmas Eve, we go to mass, and then we come back and decorate the tree and have a huge dinner. Christmas morning we wake up and open presents and then we watch White Christmas and later that day we have a huge Christmas dinner! I love it!

This year is my husband and mine's first Christmas and we both work all day so we're probably not going to be able to start our own traditions until next year when the baby will be among us to join in the festivities!

These recipes all look really good. I'm still in a pickle though! haha. My husband and I are newlyweds so I'm of course still in the experimental stage as to what we both like to eat and so far not so good! haha!

We're also on a very tight budget. Some of these recipes look like something I would make on a special occasion. Our budget is so tight that we pretty much eat pasta all the time. But it's not just the budget it's also the fact that I'm still experimenting and the fact that our work schedules are always so crazy that we only tend to be able to eat one meal together and normally it's a late night dinner that we cook together after work. So my question to everyone is if there are any quick, cheap, tasty recipes that don't includ a lot of expensive meat? I think that this is going to be a fun challenge! haha!

We have a couple of differert cookbooks. We have two Rachel Ray books and I think we have the Betty Crocker cooking for two books. The problem with those is that again the meals are expensive to cook and the ones that I have cooked from those the hubby and myself don't like. We like simple meals.

Anyway if anyone has any good recipes send them my way! Thanks!

The only one I recognized is of course brittany murphy and John Leguizamo. John L. is pretty famous. He played the sloth in Ice Age! He's been in a lot of independent movies but he's pretty good. I like brittany murphy too. This movie sounds interesting.

I just recently watched "the village" an m. night shamalyan film. And it was really good. A lot of people categorize it as horror but in my opinion it was more suspensful. Adrien Brody was in the movie and did an awesome job! I thought it was a good movie. I'm sorry I didn't watch it sooner!

Hey everone! Well I'm back, in case you remeber who I am. If not then hi everyone! It's all good. Things have been very busy for me recently.

My husband and I were married in July of 2006. And well, two weeks later we are expecting our first. Fast I know, but I beat my mothers record...hehe. I'm about 4 months along in the pregnancny, everything is going well and we are very very excited. On top of myself being pregnant, my sister-in-law and my brother are also expecting their first, and my husband's sister is also pregnant. I think my family and extended family has started the new baby-boomer era. All three of us are about a month apart.

I'm work at the local TV station as a director and it is going great. Things just got very very busy hence the reason why I haven't been around for a while.

I hope that everyone here has been doing well in my absence because I know how all of you depend on me to keep living...right? haha! Greetings and salutations to all those who are newcomers and the same to all I haven't met.

Here are a couple of pictures to entertain.

Great to be back!
