I have posted my link in the shopping section of the weblinks page. It was an error in judgment for me to have pimped my site in the forum and actually could be considered kinda rude and I apologize to anyone that got annoyed at the [not so] young upstart I just made myself appear to be. I shall strive to get back into your good graces.

Peace

My point is not who makes these ( I don't want to fool with them ), it is that this could be considered SPAM...
The forums are not the place to push one's wares...
We have a place for that...

I suggest this person contact CR about selling their goods either through the web store or place a ligitamte ad in the advertising section of this site.

That was my point.

Shadows,
Thank you, you make a very good and valid point. I agree that it would be better in the shopping section and I will talk to Paul about doing just that. I am still new to doing this as a business, moving out of "hobby to make gifts for friends" to "hobby to help pay the mortgage" and I get a tad overzealous. I hope you will forgive me this time and not think too badly of me.

Peace

Jay

Very nice.  How much time did you invest in the work?

Flora

I put about 4 hours into it (included drawing the knotwork from scratch as I have not done the smart thing and bought a knotwork generating program)

Thanks to everyone for their nice compliments! I hope that I am able to sell some. I have 3, 5, and 7 strand mystery braid bracelets that can be done in custom colors as well (school colors, SCA outfit colors, college colors, etc...)i need to update my photos on celticradio as well so everyone can keep abreast of what I have done/can do.

On the subject of "kids say the darnedest things..."

My 5yo nephew was over at my parents (his grandparents on his moms, my sister, side) house when I stopped by to visit. He is fairly rambunctious and likes to wrestle and roughhouse like any 5yo (he is a HUGE fan of Pokemon and Bakugan and such). He was in my mom's lap and was starting to get too playful so my mom said he couldn't wrestle around with her. He asked "why..is it because you're too old?" We all chuckled as mom (who is 63) politely explained that it was because she was all soft and gentle like a loving grandma. He thought about that and said, innocently and matter-of-factually " well, you look old". We all laughed and he hopped in my lap as I am always a good source of roughhousing for him. Mom then asked "well, what about Uncle JayFrog (my name, for which there is a story for another day), isn't he too old? He got out of my lap, walked over to my 67yo father and started rubbing the wrinkled skin on his hand and said, "no, he doesn't have this kind of skin yet.."

He is so freakin smart and observant that is is scary sometimes....

Peace

Jay (a.k.a. Uncle JayFrog)

Welcome IrishBeachLassie.

Your passion for Ireland is matched by mine for Scotland. Highlander Radio is great either way! My father is a British national from Portchester. The United States is too much of a bland melting pot. She has such a short history that most of her culture is derived from advertising and from the countries where people originated. So highlander radio takes me away...

Funny you should say that. About 10 years or so ago i was in the Navy (US) and we were doing a Submarine Rescue exercise aboard a British submarine. The talk at the time had turned to Naval Traditions and whatnot that out 2 countries had. One of the British Officers commented that of the two, only the English Navy had "traditions" since their Navy was a thousand years old, while the US being a paltry 200 years old merely had "habits". It was funny and good reason for another round!

peace

Just wanted to add my welcome (from Texas) and mention that a really great Celtic band is not too far from you. They play up around that neck of the woods and you should go see them (their Bass player is a member of celticradio as well).
You can check them out at http://www.finnsfury.com/ and on myspace at: www.myspace.com/finnsfurybass

peace and hope to see you posting soon

I had heard that if bankruptcy is actually filed then ALL deals and contracts with the UAW are null. Not sure if this is true or not but it would be followed by some serious negotiating (the UAW would be in a much weaker position).

HELP!!!!!
I have a business card that I created in CorelDraw and I have uploaded a JPG of it to one of my albums. I have tried, unsuccesfully, for an hour to get the file to show up in my signature when I post. When I use the URL listed under the picture in my gallery I get an error file saying it cant do it. When I thought I had succeeded, all it showed was "user posted image" (http://www.celticradio.net/php/forums/index.php?showtopic=13011&st=0&#entry274642) so I am frustrated on how to do it. I don't have a web page put together that I can upload to my founders website yet so I can't point to an image on a website.

HELP!!!!!!

So, how did everyone get treated for Valentines Day? Did you stay at home for an intimate candlelit dinner or did you go to a cozy restaurant? Did you get candy and flowers, or a bag of peanuts (no-tainted) and a smack on the butt? Tell us how it went...

I have no significant other so I am spending the weekend with my brother and his family.

Peace
