Thanks for the post Emmet. This was a huge loss to this community and so utterly sad. I know that this is the risk they all take when they become fire-fighters but gosh...it almost leaves one at a loss for words...

Thanks for posting the info Desert Lass, as Diana, Herself, is my all time fav author I will have to make sure I am there at the ICC. I think I still have one of her novels which has not been signed. Plus, I always enjoy visiting the ICC.  |

I have been catching The Year of the Flood on YouTube and have been practically salivating over it. My friend in Aberdeen is sending me my own copy of Everything You See and I can hardly wait to get it!!

SOOO funny to see this thread...my son has been playing Runescape with his buddies & cousins for about 6 months now. They have a great time doing it...even call eachother while they are playing! I keep saying he is on the phone more than any of my daughters! |

Oh my Goodness! My prayers are with your family MaggieM!! I don't know how motorcycles are so often missed but my fiance was hit on his while he was very young & the young man my daughter is dating just had his brother die after being hit on his bike in March.
It certainly does raise my awareness of them!
Wear those helmets you guys!

We will also get to see the TT live this weekend at our Highland Games and I am SOOO excited since I have heard such good things bout them! I will report back here as soon as I can! This weekend I'll get the chance to see PC live at our Highland Games and I'll be happy to report how they were live...I can't wait!! This weekend may be pretty warm...was 75F today! So if you burn easily...wear your sunscreen! Drink lots of water too!! |

Finally, FINally, FINALLY this weekend is our Mesa Highland Games & Scottish Gathering!! I will be out Friday helping get things set up and then working most of Saturday...think I have Sunday off  You all can expect a review from CR and myself...plus pictures as I know both of us will have our cameras in tow!!
Can you tell I have been waiting for this??? Can you tell I am SOOO excited??
And CR will look just darling in her Jacobite outfit so I'll be sure to include a pic or two of her!! |

Rindy - thanks for asking about Kelsea...we are still working on the medication she is taking. She still has some of the typical problems w/MCE but she has not had an offical 'attack' since she started the meds. Most of you know that she is a highly competitive athlete and that was one of our concerns. Mornings are still hard for her and the ability to concentrate/focus. I think part of it is helping her to adjust to what she needs to do and just getting used to things. Her personality can swing from really happy to rather depressed but I am told this is normal so...we are just taking things one day at a time...
