Hello: I was born at a very early age in the little adiroundack town of Lake Placid in the state of New York, U. S. A. I was raised by my grandparents and I can well remember my Irish grandfather's great old songs and stories. Thank God for the opportunity to mingle with some real old drinking, fighting and fibbing men of the Isles. I was introduced to the taste of the pure at the wakes, yes we did have them laid out at home in those days. The old men loved to see a little lad's wrinkled face when he was treated to a teaspoon of Busmills. Thankfully, my intuition led me to marry a Scott (Nancy Fyfe) when the mating time came. Old ones said it wouldn't work, but that was forty-three years ago and bless their old hearts they are all dead and mom and I are still trucking. Our anniversary is today, Dec. 31. We settled in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania, raised two hard fighting male bains and now have retired to enjoy the remainder of life and the beautiful Celtic culture that has grown up in this part of the U. S. A. Only thing is I can't get a good dish of Haggis around here. Greetings from Jim & Nancy Farley Fogelsville, Pa. U. S.A

"Heidi" was a beautiful Boxer, aged eleven years, who had to be put down due to cancer a few months ago. After many years of living and following grandparents, parents, siblings and many valuable friends to the grave, the parting with this special animal seemed to affect myself greater than any other event. Displaced values? You decide for I do not pretend to understand. I thought she should be remembered in Cyber-space. Jim

I am a brand new member of this group and the first thing I noticed was a large red "No Bombing" logo followed by dates to remember. I"m all for "No More Bombing," God knows only a fool wouldn't be, but I have a "Date to Remember." Dec. 7, 1941. Let's get this section right. Place that date first. Without it you wouldn't have the other two. God bless. Jim Farley U. S. A.
