Comments: This has been one of my favorite cds for awhile now, ever since I first heard it during my semester abroad at the University of Limerick.
It also contains one of the beautiful, melancholy songs I've ever had the good fortune to hear: Freeborn Man Of The Traveling People. When the two vocalists harmonize, it brings a tear to the eye.
The Jolly Beggarman's probably my second favorite track, in spite of (or perhaps because of) its catchy melody. This tune stays with you, so be warned: I caught myself singing it out loud at work. **chuckles**

Comments: One of the premier Celtic performing groups Cherish The Ladies, is a group that originally formed as a feature for the National Endowment of the Arts study on celtic music. They have performed with several national and international orchestras as well as toured on their own, spreading their beautiful melodies and can’t help but dance jigs worldwide. This particular album features many other Celtic artists including the likes of Liam Clancy, Bobby Clancy, Arlo Guthrie, Pete Seeger, and even the ladies fathers come out to play.
