Thank you for the link to a very interesting history of Irish quilts!
I too am a quilter and I plan to do a Celtic styled quilt in the future. Finding patterns that they may have used is a challenge. Very interesting (and sad) that many people used a single coat on their bed for warmth! Also very interesting, and kind, that the gentlewomen would teach those in their employ needlework. That act of kindness may very well have saved lives, as the women could then put together whatever scraps they had at their disposal to create blankets to warm their families on cold winter nights!

Just watched "The Tourist" with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolee. It was good, however, some of the stunts looked a bit fake. But I did enjoy it and would watch it again. |

You may want to try this website http://www.rampantscotland.com/features/faq.htm
It has good information on the question of clans and tartans. It also has links to a clan map and to other websites that may be able to better answer your questions with lists of Septs to the Clans.
My family is Campbell and Stewart. Traditionally, you would go with your paternal side, but today we can choose.

I lived in Wisconsin for 23 years, I guess that's where the upper midwest comes in. Otherwise I was born in Oklahoma, grew up in Kansas and have lived in Texas, Mississippi and Arkansas.
They missed a possible answer for water fountain, drinking fountain. In Milwaukee they call it a "bubbler".

Nettles
O sad for me Glen Aora,
Where I have friends no more,
For lowly lie the rafters,
