If you haven't heard or seen this band they are a must listen and a must see! Their live shows are fantastic. They are energic and fully entertaining. Just beware you can get hooked!
Seen them many times, my favorite band. Just got my tickets at the Wilbur Theater in Bostin in April.

"For the hundreds of thousands of fans who have sang, danced and celebrated with the band, Great Big Sea has been a constant factor in their own lives. While musical fashions have come and gone, Great Big Sea has maintained an unswerving commitment to their original ideals - a belief that a marriage of their own creativity and the joyous folk music of their home in Newfoundland would be an unbeatable combination."

On October 30, Great Big Sea will release XX, a lavish three-CD box set containing 60 tracks, including six brand new recordings.
Great Big Sea will celebrate their landmark 20th birthday in 2013 and they’re taking the party out on the road with a 32-date tour that will see the band rock 28 cities in Canada and the US starting in March. Tickets are on sale now.

Believe it or not I found the CD in Best Buy about two weeks ago. Couldn't believe as they have almost nothing in music anymore. Nothing really new. Its divided into a 2 CD set. One side pop songs the other is traditional. A nice collection to have . Only song that I wanted on there that wasn't there was Safe upon the Shore.

Unavoidably Detained by the World

"Irishness is not primary a question of birth or blood or language; it is the condition on being involved in the Irish situation, and usually of being mauled by it."-Conor Cruise O'Brien

Pour mouth to mouth
