St. Patrick's Day 2016!, Whacha got?!

Fun time of the year. I enjoy celebrating Irish heritage. Always looking for ways to have fun during this special time of the year.

- Today going to Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, Ma the for their Celtic Celebration weekend:
"St. Patrick’s Day events will be in full swing at Old Sturbridge Village March 14-15. The daytime “Celtic Celebration” will feature Irish music, food, step dancing, and stories. Irish musicians will explain the difference between jigs and reels and tell of the Irish experience through song. Museum exhibits and historians will explain what caused the wave of Irish immigration in the 19th century and talk about what life was like for Irish families after they arrived in America."
- This week my daughter and her Irish Step group is performing for local businesses for a Chamber of Commerce celebration in town.
- Going to O'Connor's Restaurant to do our annual dinner with friends in Worcester on the 17th for dinner and music
- On the 18th having my own annual St. Patrick's day party at my house in my Celtic Bar: "Tomfoolery's " in my basement.

Let the fun begin! Anybody else doing things?

Decided to try an organic, nitrite free corned beef today from Door to Door, but other than that, nothing much for us.

"do dheagh shlainte" We were planning to go to downtown Ft. Myers again but my lovely bride has been suffering from a severe bout of RA, so me thinks our celebrations will be domesticated and moved out to the Lanai where we can watch "The Quiet Man" and eat, drink and be Irish to our hearts content. If you are in the neighborhood, drop on by, if not, we'll have a few cyber drinks together...Happy St. Patrick's Day and Skol y'all...

I'll be marching in the Indianapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade with The Ancient Order of Hibernians then to a couple of parties downtown and finishing up at my local pub that has made it in the list of the top Irish pubs to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in world according to this article: The Golden Ace Inn
