Posted by Shadows on Aug 12th, 2006 9:49 AM
Today is cloudy and cool; CR seems to be going on and off line... I am cooking a smoked picnic ham with green beans and potatoes for dinner ( slow cooked on top of the stove , not in a crockpot).

The outlaws have not been seen by my wife and I since our 1st meeting LOL!!!!!

A message to my son who is about to get married
Posted by Shadows on May 24th, 2006 4:00 PM
I once had a beautiful young wife...

When I was tired she was between the blankets to warm them...
She rose early with me each day to fix my food for the day...
When I returned each day she was there to great me with smiles and hugs...

Then the creator played a very mean trick on me...

He took this young beautiful wife and replaced her with an old woman who resembled her...

Now my blankets are cold...
My daily food is not there...
and I am greeted upon my return home with a sharp tongue...

I often pray to the creator to return my beautiful young wife to me.

Son remember that what you have as a youth may not be what you have when you get old...

Make your choices wisely!

A New Year
Posted by Shadows on Jan 1st, 2006 8:19 AM
As this new year starts I sit here thinking to myself about what I can change in my life and why I would want to change...

The 1st thing that come to mind is to help make this upside down world of today a better and friendlier place, but the question comes up... How?

Bumed out....
Posted by Shadows on Aug 4th, 2005 9:24 AM
I took today off work without pay to take my wife, 12yo daughter and one of her friends to a semi-local theme park where one of my son's work was having a picnic and rides at reduced rates for family...

The damned car broke down an hour away and my son had to come rescue the female folk and procede to the park without me! I was able to get the car to limp home but here I sit....bumed out!

Oh yea the tickets were a present from my son to me for my birthday last month...
he is bumed out too!
