Solstice
The sun rises switfly, higher through the sky. The days grow shorter, the nights longer. We watch and wait for the days to come. We gather together, a celebration of time. In a circle we form, around an unlit fire. We have brought wood from near and far, oak and fir to light our way, through the darkest of the night. We lite our fire and bask in its light, letting peace and hope fill our bodies, souls and minds. We last the night, and leave in peace, each taking with up a piece of hope.
