I Will Rue

Here I lay
Curled up in bed
I feel so bad
I think I'm dead
One eye opened
The other shut
It hurts to much
To open both.

I have aches
I thought impossible
If this gets worse
I'll end up in hospital
How can a body
Feel so Bad
And still pretend
To be alive

If I should die
One thing I'll rue
I can't strangle the Sod
Who gave me
The Flu.

I felt like that last weekend and oddly enough, had a similar thought to your last few lines.

It will get better. But it's slow.

Tell me about it..contracted the darn thing..it's been over 3 weeks and I'm still sick

Had the swine flu shot last Tuesday and let me tell you...never been so sick

Can't feel my butt anymore from being in bed for so long...

Long time no hear. Hope you are feeling better soon. To-day I feel about 89.999% Human. Like I said last Thursday I really thought I was dead and the message hadn't reach my brain to let it know. I wrote the poem in the belief that it was going to be the last thing I ever did.

I know tis little comfort but this too shall pass. Just hung in there and keep the faith. It could be worse. Try being a mother with it and too wee'uns sick too. I thought it would never end. My two are back to school and we are all on the mend til the next round comes by. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May you be will again soon and up to your good old self.
