Revellers in America!

July 29, 2008 - CelticRadio.net -

The Emerald RevellersRhythms of Ireland” Tour 2008 creates a unique blend of Irish music, song and dance combining traditional styles with the more modern expression of dance made popular by stage shows such as Riverdance.  You will be taken on a journey from the days of the wandering dance master to an awesome exhibition of modern Irish dance that will delight your heart.  With a cast of 35 performers aged 5-50(ish), it is lively, energetic, fun and, above all, a spectacular 2-hour show.

‘Rhythms of Ireland’ is a genuine, living expression of a culture and heritage, which is very much alive and celebrated by performers both on and off the stage.  It is an exhibition which lends itself to all occasions, equally at home on the world stage or knocking sparks from the flags in your grandfather’s kitchen!

The Emerald Revellers have been together since 1995 and in addition to enjoying great success at home in Ireland, they have performed extensively in Britain and Europe and visited Florida, America. Member of the group are from Counties Leitrim, Sligo, Fermanagh, Cavan and five are from London.  Dance teacher Clare McMorrow, TCRg, is producer/chorographer of the Emerald Revellers has been teaching dancing for 30 years. Most of the dancers have come through Clare’s school of dance.

The show draws together musicians, singers and dancers of the highest caliber many of whom have successfully competed at County, Provincial and All-Ireland level in Scor, Feladgh and Feis. Several of the step dancers have been successful at the World Irish Dancing Championships.  Many of the performers are also members of professional music and dance groups and several of the musicians have successfully recorded CD’s.

Celtic Radio Comments: This is a great opportunity for those living in New York and New England to see one of the finest venues of Irish music and dance by the highly acclaimed "Emerald Revellers" - this is a wonderful group of performers direct from Ireland which you just can not pass up an opportunity to meet and enjoy their show. Ticket prices are very reasonable. We highly recommend this show to all of our members and listeners living in the Northeast of America.

This venue would make for a perfect summer event if you are on vacation or planning on being near any of the following locations during the next few weeks. If you do attend a show or buy one of their tickets, be sure to tell them you heard about "The Emerald Revellers" through Celtic Radio!
