A Hint of Ireland Itinerary


September 13
Depart U.S.A. for Shannon Ireland

September 14
Arrive Shannon airport and transfer to the Two Mile Inn Hotel, Limerick. Evening cocktail reception and dinner at your hotel.

September 15
Depart to Killarney via the Cliffs of Moher and cross the River Shannon by ferry, through Tralee to Killarney for dinner and overnight at Killarney Towers.

September 16
Day tour on the spectacular Dingle Peninsula. Return to Killarney Towers for dinner. After dinner attend the National Folk Theatre for a traditional Irish evening of entertainment.

September 17
Head southwest on part of the Ring of Kerry to beautiful Bantry Bay with a short boat trip to the sub tropical island of Garnish for a walk through the beautiful gardens. Continue east along the Atlantic Ocean through Skibbereen, Clonakilty, Courtmacsherry and Bandon enroute to the village of Blarney for dinner and overnight at the Blarney Woollen Mills Hotel.

September 18
Morning departure to the picturesque heritage town of Kinsale, a beautiful place to spend some time. Return to Blarney with a free afternoon to enjoy a personal visit to the Blarney Stone and the woollen mills. Dinner and overnight at the Blarney Woollen Mills Hotel.

September 19
Take the scenic drive through Middleton, Tallow and Lismore with its beautiful castle before climbing through the “Vee” drive enroute to visit the Majestic “Rock of Cashel”, seat of the Kings. Late afternoon arrival at your Manor House Hotel in Clonmel for dinner and overnight at the Hotel Minella.

September 20
Visit to the location of the original “Slate Quarries” in an unusual setting. Next stop is Waterford city where you will havethe opportunity to visit the famous crystal factory and free time in the city’s downtown area before returning to the Hotel Minella for dinner and overnight.

September 21
Morning departure to the medieval city of Kilkenny where you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the town and its historic castle. Early afternoon arrival into Dublin for a sightseeing tour of the capital. Check-in at the Mont Clare Hotel where you will be free to enjoy the nightlife in Dublin.

September 22
Today will be a complete free day to explore your personal interests in the capital. Your guide will help you with whatever information you may need for this free day. Overnight at the Mont Clare Hotel.

September 23
Heading west for a visit and trip on the Blackwater bog train tour (a great experience of the past). This is followed with a tour of the monastic settlement site at Clonmacnoise, set on the banks of the Shannon. Continue through Portumna, Searriff and Ennis enroute to the Two Mile Hotel Inn Hotel for dinner and overnight.

September 24
Transfer to Shannon airport for your flight home.
