This is an official press release from CelticRadio.net
CelticRadio.net is pleased to announce the first ever Celtic Radio Song of the Year! Nominations for the Song of the Year are made by listeners and members of CelticRadio.net. After a careful screening process which is based upon listener nominations, ratings, requests, and other radio statistics; CelticRadio.net selects 10 songs for voting by members of CelticRadio.net.
This years voting began in November of 2005 and ended on St. Patrick’s Day 2006. Members who voted
were eligible to win a free Celtic music CD. We would like to now inform you that the 2005 Celtic Radio Song of the Year is Barleyjuice’s “What’s Up Yours” track from their “Another Round” album.
A letter and certificate will be mailed out to Barleyjuice
acknowledging this prestigious and well-deserved award. In addition, a special webpage
has been developed to honor Barleyjuice’s spot in Celtic Radio History as well as future "Song of the Year" recipients!
"Everyone loves this philly-based Group as frontman Kyf Brewer muses, “We can dance with your daughter, mosh with your son, sing with your grandmother, and toast your dad under the table. And we’re so attractive and humble your mum’ll be cookin’ for us by night’s end..”
They really are a very musically talented group with a depth of experience that is uncommon for a Celtic Rock band. Just take a look at their bios off their website and you will certainly be impressed. For us Celtic music fans, we are extremely fortunate to have a band like Barleyjuice creating some of the best sounding Celtic Rock music - they truly are cutting edge.....
We are now accepting nominations
for the 2006 Song of the Year. Voting will commence on November 1, 2006, so be sure to get your nomination in before this date!
