It is 6 here today in Ohio, by the river.Buuurrrrr....
Annabelle, your tree should be fine. And my bulds started coming up too! Back in Novemer, early Dec I think. It has finally gotten cold enough again to kill of what had come up. Which was about 4-6 inches tall!!!!! sad.gif
If you look back a few pages in this thread I believe Ahrianrod(sp) was discussing this problem with me. She said they should be ok for spring.
You might want to put an extra couple of inches of mulch/compost over them.......Just a thought... wink.gif

My owner's orchids are also doing very well with new flower stems appearing. I have also added more plants, including a cymbiduim in an 8" pot with a 6 plant cluster and 3 flowering stems. The plant is over 3' high. Beautiful earth tones in the flowers. Home Depot, of all places, carries a nice selection at reasonable prices. Go figure. I bet the nurseries hate them. I have found that if you check the store regularly, you can catch the plants when they first come in, before the store can harm them by over watering.

You can find some nice ones on occation in places like that. I once took a part time job, at an HQ store, in the green house because it drove me nuts how their orchids looked! Dreadful......
I guess I was a bit of an orchid addict at the time. I really should get a few.... it's been 5 years since my former wife pitched them all....

I am proud to say that the tomatoes I planted last year still had fruit when I moved, which was in December. This is a huge milestone for me, considering I have killed air ferns. idiot.gif

I have been thinking about picking up one or two. Just looking for the right one. I've been thinking about 'Dracula' Orchids. They are very low light plants with really bizzare flowers!

Barddas I've not seen any of those Dracula type in this area. I wish I was computer literate to send you some follow up pictures of my Orchids. They are just growing leaps and bounds. I am still shocked at the change...
Thanks,
A

I am glad that yours are doing so well! I would love to see the before and after photos...LOL!

Wow....those are unique flowers, Barddas. I wonder what country the plant originates in.
