A chairde, Bail o Dhia oraibh! Greetings to everyone. At last I think I found the right place to tell a little about myself.

As my member name suggests I play the flute, mainly from the Traditional Irish repertoire, and have played all over the British Isles. I live for my music and always carry at least one flute with me everywhere I go. I moved to Tasmania in 2002.

I came across this site whilst I was searching for some Irish lyrics. I was just amazed at how accommodating it is. I'm not that computer literate so I would welcome advice whenever you find me making howlers.

I would hope to contribute to some of the discussions, but think I might study the appropriate "etiquette" before putting my feet in it, so to speak!

By the way, it goes without saying that if any of you visit Tasmania, give a shout. It'd be great to meet up.

Look forward to being involved.

Best to everyone,
Brianx

Hello Brian! Filte gu Celtic Radio! Welcome to Celtic Radio!

In my humble opinion, you have found one of the best websites ever. The people here are some of the nicest to be found anywhere on the net, and the music is simply out of this world.

So kick off your shoes, grab a mug of your favorite hot (or cold) beverage, turn up the music and have fun! I look forward to getting to know you better through your posts.

If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to ask anyone with the word "Guide" beneath their avatar. That's why we're here!

Again, it is so nice to have you with us. We are like one big family here, and we just love welcoming new members to the fold! I hope that you will enjoy your stay with us, and that you will come back and visit with us often. I feel quite certain that you will grow to love the place as much as I have.

Welcome to the family, my friend!
And welcome home! smile.gif

Welcome Brian...hope you enjoy your stay here. It really is great to have another enthusiast around. I've always wanted to try playing the flute but I picked up the clarinet instead.

A chairde, go raibh mile maith agat!

Thank you for such a warm welcome. I can't get to a computer too often at present, so I'm afraid I'm a bit behind. I've had a bit more look around. First, it's so colourful, and just oozes fun, happiness...they're the first words that come to mind.

Don't quite know how to get all those quotes and extra personal bits, but I'll get there.

The only thing I can add at the moment is that today, 23rd April, apart from being the Bard's birthday, is the anniversary of Brian Boru defeating the Danes at Clontarf in 1014. My Granny used to bounce me up and down when I was little saying that I was named after Brian Boru. When you learn like that, you never forget I suppose.

Love and peace to all,
Brianx smile.gif
