I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome a new musicians and sponsor to Highlander Radio - Danny Carthy!

His new CD is "Stand Look Around You" and it is a Gem! Feel free to request his songs here. He's got an excellent voice and really brings his songs to life. A wonderful story teller!

Danny would love to hear from you as he likes getting emails from fans and listeners. So feel free to welcome Danny to Highlander Radio and drop him a note.

And now a few words from Danny:

Danny Carthy has been singing Folk songs for over thirty years. A top radio and TV presenter in Ireland ( Dereck Davis) once said that Danny had a very distinctive and Tuneful voice for singing Folk songs. With most of the songs penned by Danny on this CD and the remainder specially chosen, and with the assistance of some wonderful musicians in Ireland, it's a great feeling of having created, like an Artist would paint a picture. If you wish to make contact with me or to buy my CD, just go to my website http://www.dannycarthy.com all the information is there, with record distributors in the USA, Australia, Scotland and Ireland. Danny was very priveliged in 2002 to be invited to Aras an Uachtarain, the Irish President's residence in Ireland as a tribute to Irish entertainers. The age group of Danny's audience is from Childhood to any age, as he also sings nursery rhymes to school children as well a concerts for older listener. A song tells a story, the singer conveys the message. Please make contact as I enjoy hearing from people. An old saying in Ireld was (If you feel like singing do sing an Irish song) Go raibh maith agat, Thank you.

We were very excited to receive Danny's latest CD. From everything we have read, he really is a great guy and a wonderful folk/celtic songwriter and singer. Please do consider purchasing his newest CD or browsing his website for other CDs you might be interested.

Thanks again Danny for helping to support this site with your music and sponsorship!
