We received a message from a listener looking for the lyrics to a song. Would very much appreciate it if someone might know this song and can direct this listener to a website of the lyrics:


I would like to find out the lyrics to inis oirr, inisheer, it is a slow aire.  my daughter played a beautiful version of it but it was not in english.  I hope you can help.  thank you

I don't have the CD in front of me so can't be sure, but I think the lyrics are in the liner notes to Lasairfhíona Ní Chonaola’s album An Raicín Álainn, written in both Gaelic and English. I don't think I can post it here without violating copyright laws. I highly recommend both of Lasairfhíona's albums--the purchase of which gives legal access to the lyrics.
