I know that many of you may not have copies of the Gaelic Bible, so I thought you might enjoy seeing the Christmas story all in Gaelic!

More than you have ever hoped, dreamed or imagined - that is my Christmas wish for you!

Enjoy!

Lucas 2:1-21

1 Agus thrladh anns na lithean sin gun deachaidh rdagh a-mach o Cheasar Augustus an domhan uile a mheas.
2 (Agus rinneadh an ciad mheas seo nuair a bha Cirenius na uachdaran air Siria.)
5 A-chum gum biodh e air a mheas maille ri Muire a bha fo cheangal-psaidh dha, agus i mor-thorrach.
6 Agus thrladh, am feadh a bha iad an sin, gun do choileanadh laithean a h-inbhe, a-chum i a bhith air a h-aisead.
7 Agus rug i a ciad-ghin mic, agus phaisg i e ann am brat-spilidh, agus chuir i na laighe ann am prasaich e; do bhrgh nach robh it aca anns an taigh-osda.
8 Agus bha anns an dthaich sin buaichaillean a' fantainn a-muigh, a' deanamh faire-oidhche air an treud.
9 Agus, feuch, thinig aingeal an Tighearna orra, agus dhealraich glir an Tighearna mun timcheall; agus ghabh iad eagal mr.
10 Agus thubhairt an t-aingeal riu, Na biodh eagal oirbh: oir feuch, tha mi ag innse dhuibh deagh sgeul mor-aoibhneis, a bhios don uile shluagh:
11 Oir rugadh dhuibh an-diugh Slnaighear, ann am baile Dhaibhidh, neach as e Crosd an Tighearna.
12 Agus bidh seo na chomharradh dhuibh: Gheibh sibh an naoidhean paisgte ann am brat-spilidh, na laighe ann am prasaich.
13 Agus air ball bha maille ris an aingeal cuideachd mhr de armailtean neimh, a' moladh Dh, agus ag rdh,
14 Glir do Dhia anns na h-rdan, agus air talamh sth, deagh-ghean do dhaoine.
15 Agus thrladh, nuair a dh'fhalbh na h-aingil uapa do namh, gun dubhairt na buachaillean ri chile, Rachamaid a-nis eadhon do Bhetlehem, agus faiceamaid an n seo a rinneadh, a dh'fhoillsich an Tighearna dhuinn.
16 Agus thinig iad gu grad, agus fhuair iad Muire agus Iseph, agus an leanabh na laighe anns a' phrasaich.
17 Agus nuair a chunnaic iad sin, dh'aithris iad an n a dh'innseadh dhaibh mu thimcheall an leinibh seo.
18 Agus ghabh gach neach a chuala seo iongantas ris na nithean sin a dh'innseadh dhaibh leis na buachaillean.
19 Ach ghlidh Muire na nithean sin uile, a' beachd-smaoineachadh orra na cridhe.
20 Agus thill na buachaillean, a' tabhairt glire agus molaidh do Dhia airson nan nithean sin uile a chuala agus a chunnaic iad, a rir mar a labhradh riu.
21 Agus nuair a choileanadh ochd lithean a-chum an leanabh a thimcheall-ghearradh, thugadh IOSA mar ainm air, eadhon an t-ainm a ghairm an t-aingeal dheth mun do ghabhadh anns a' bhroinn e.

If you ever needed a Gidhlig dictionary

If you think you can hold me down
I beg to differ
If you think you can twist my words
I'll sing forever

Tha gach uile dhuine air a bhreth saor agus co-ionnan ann an urram 's ann an cirichean. Tha iad air am breth le reusan is le cogais agus mar sin bu chir dhaibh a bhith be nam measg fhein ann an spiorad brthaireil
