We had 4 CDs to give away for the month of September.

Our September CD contest features Cl D new album ?Fresh EP ?.

From their website:

"Released July 2005, Cele De's "Fresh EP" hits the shelves with a splash, introducing their completely new original sound. This package is comprised of five original and rejuvenating tunes including "Awakening," "Through It All," and "Song of the Selkie." To complete the experience, Cele De has included a limited release of "Hillenvale" and a live track of "Second Hand" as a bonus for your listening pleasure. Don't miss out on this opportunity to enjoy the rhythm and sound so many have described as ?incredible,? ?awesome,? ?fabulous,? and ?fresh.?

The Mick West band?s ?A Poor Man's Labour?

From his website:

?Mick West is considered by many to be one of the foremost exponents of Scottish traditional song. His third album "A poor man's labour" was released in August 2004 in Glasgow on Claytara Records. This album features first class musicians Stevie Lawrence (ex Iron Horse) on Bazouki and 5 string guitar, Fraser Fifield (ex Salsa Celtica, ex Old Blind Dogs) on Sax, Whistles and percussion and Frank McLaughlin on guitar and Scottish smallpipes.?

http://www.mickwestband.com/

and Kevin Walsh?s ?Clarinda?s Reply?

From his website:

"Being born and raised in Scotland and having Irish connections on both sides of my family, it was almost inevitable that a Celtic influence would creep into my music, though I do have a wide range of other musical influences and I hope they surface now and again too!

In the lyrics I?ve written for the album, I unashamedly defer to the genius of Robert Burns. I hope to have captured a fraction of his spirit and in ?Clarinda?s Reply? itself, see his poetry from a slightly different and new perspective."

And the lucky members to receive these CDs are:

WolfmanJack - Cl D Fresh EP.

Siobhan Blues - Cl D Fresh EP.

Scotsblood - Kevin Walsh - Clarinda's Reply.

ArizonaAmy9 - Mick West A Poor Man's Labour.

Please contact us by email with your snail address to received your CD. Please note that you have 30 days to claim your prize, otherwise it gets raffled off!

The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is, that it is robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error. ~John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859

This is such fun, winning something... I'm one of those who hasn't won anything since 1971 when I was the 11th caller on a radio show & won an album! '71 was a loooong time ago too - biggrin.gif

Funny, both winnings were musical. Couldn't suit me better!!
