What if you found out that you were adopted, and discovered your father was a CEO of a fortune 500 company?

--------------------
The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is, that it is robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error. ~John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859

Education: that which reveals to the wise, and conceals from the stupid, the vast limits of their knowledge.

Make some inquiries about the man, try to find out if he had a wife and kids, and what kind of indiscretion I was the product of smile.gif , before deciding whether I would unsettle him and his family by announcing myself. Then I would do it very privately, if at all. The man's status has nothing to do with it.

The Moon would probably be polluted fast as hell as that is our way of treating things.

As good as that sounds, we wouldn't be humanity without faults like those. But maybe there would be less wars.

I'd probably stand there crying with the ticket in my hand, unable to decide. Just kidding -- if it's only one day, I'd choose Bonn, Germany, a city I knew well 25 years ago, to see how it's changed. That's a good day trip.

You would pass up another life you could have lived.

What if you found out that you had been adopted...but you found it out at 70 years of age?
