had to laugh today on the way to work i heard an ad on the radio for "toyota"
the music in the background sounded familiar as i listened it turned out to be
the tune "what do you do with a drunken sailor" fully orchestrated yet ...
violins, cello's etc... "toyota" couldnt afford an original score??? biggrin.gif

have any of you heard this one or for that matter any other music taken from the traditional public domain and used in commercials? note.gif

Hey, I drive a Toyota...I'll have to look for that commercial. Problem is I never watch tv so unless it is some sort of crud humor...my daughter's never call out "Mom, come here, you gotta see this!" Plus in my TOYOTA I am listening to cd's...right now...Runrig - Amazing Things....

That is pretty funny. Probably they just want to get a mood, and they are banking on not too many people recognizing the song or knowing the words. smile.gif
What is it, kind of jolly, free-wheeling, rollicking, fun-loving and all that? note.gif beer_mug.gif

I don't have problem with that as much as I do GM using "Blitzkreig Bop" by The Ramones in a feeble attempt to shed Buick's image as a geezermobile. blink.gif wacko.gif

whoof. . . now what kind of blended message might that be trying to send?

The Toyota -- a people's car for all the old barefoot folkies red_bandana.gif beer_mug.gif who have slipped into the bourgeousie and are not afraid to show a little class wine.gif and put some shoes on? (Sorry, there was no elegant cheese smilie to go with the wine.)
