Hi was wondering if anyone had read anything on Brian Boru? I just read a book about his life but it is for 8th grade reading lvl and lacked what I could get out of a true biography tongue.gif. Are there any other books out there about the High King of Ireland?

My favorite book about Brian Boru is Lion of Ireland, by Morgan lewellyn. It's historical fiction, so keep that in mind while reading, but the salient facts are correct. It was even endorsed by the chief of clan O'Brian. There is a sequel, Pride of Lions, about Brian's youngest son, but it isn't as good as Lion of Ireland.

Thanks for the recommendation on Lion of Ireland... might have to add that one to the bookshelf...
