Finally I will be between a celt and a scot for my fantastic medieval activity in august.I buy a torc and a pennucular brooch , the only accessoiries I don't have.I also create a short history for my character. The only thing I need to do is to read more about the life of the celt , just in case I will not do or make something totally wrong.I know it's fantastic but it's not because other make thing wrong then I'm suppose to do the same thing.Any reading to suggest?

Nancy-Raven,
For information on developing a Celtic persona, a good starting point would be Echna's Celtic Persona Page. You could also do a Google search for: sca celtic persona development.
One thing to keep in mind is that the original Scotti were actually Irish, and that much of what is now Scotland was Pictland. Because the Scotti and Picti both had an oral tradition, it is difficult to find a great deal of information on them.
Good luck.

Oh so you are what we in Sweden call a "Lajvare" (from English Live, roleplaying without a manuscript! Me too!!!!!)
Well, I normally play a celtic bard/druid so I know quite a lot about the celtic society. Being a lass in Celtic society is okay! You should try to read some books called priestess of Avalon! 's aboot celtic druidesses and celtic magic etc.

I think it is great that you are doing this. Helps one learn more about who we were to better understand who we are. Good look and have fun

I reccomend that you read the book, "Encyclopedia of Celtic Wisdom 'A Shaman's SourceBook' " by Caitlin and John Matthews. If you want to get more suggestions I am a Practicing Druid (non-fantasy) and would be happy to share with you about the Druids and the ancient Laws of the Celts.
