Its going to take a while for my heart to mend.
They say I've lost a pet but i know I've lost a friend.
You borught such memories to my day.
I surely hope they'll never fade away
You have always been so loyal.
Even though you were always spoiled.
I remember the day I brought you that bone tied up with a bow.
I still don't understand why you had to go.

I dedicate this to my two dogs Gretion and jennifer. angel_not.gif

:')

Very well written lament for your Canine friends. Sounds like you were quite close with them.

I lost a dog a number years back. His name was Hudson; he was part Black Lab and Bull Mastiff. I remember the time he came to comfort me during a crying jag, shortly after my farther passed. Hudson was a true friend, and I miss him dearly.
Hang in there.

JpMacfive- I loved your poem.. I have lost many dogs and it hurts every darn time... I love dogs so very much..it hurts so bad when we have to let them go.. I always say I am not getting attached to this one- never ends up that way...no one can take away the memories..
