My name is Sonee. At least that's what everyone, except my folks, call me!! I live in the middle of nowhere...uh...I mean Nebraska!! I am married, for now, and have two wonderful and beautiful children, my daughter is 7 and my son is 3. I love anything and everything Celtic and am currently trying to learn Gealic (not easy when your 31 and english (read American!) is all you've known!!)
I am soooo glad I found this place!! Nobody around me understands my interest in, and yes, my obsession, with all things celtic. I have scottish/irish/english in my heritage that I know of so far and it completely fascinates me!! If ya'll want to know more or if I didn't address something here just let me know and I'll answer it!!
I do have one question, or perhaps problem would be a better word. I am trying to find some sheet music to the song Joy of Life/Trout in the Bath. I have been learning to play the violin/fiddle for the past few years and really want to learn this particular song. I have pick a bit up from listening to The Corrs CD I have but it's slow going and hard to pick out just the violin part. If anyone knows where I could find the sheet music I would be soooo greatful!!!
Guess that's all I have for now! I hope to get to know many of you much better in the near future!! Take care

Welcome to our little corner of the web! I'm sure you'll find that we're a pretty friendly bunch, and that it's easy to get hooked on us!
Hooked on Celts ... I thought it was hooked on Phonicians...
Sorry that is hooked on Phonics!

Thank you all so much for the welcome!! I feel like I have finally found my "home"!!!
I don't think you stole my thread! Actually, it helps me get to know you all better by seeing how you interact, and react, with each other!! BTW, dundee, sorry I gushed at you earlier! I was just so excited to finally get the notes for that song. I have been looking for them for about a year now!! I now have the first part down and am working on my speed!!!
Ya know, Rindy, I think I just might of heard of Wyoming!! I'm not sure though, the Nebraska winds might have distorted the words!!! LOL!! Celtic music is my favorite music, so I'm sure I will love it here!!
Well, Wizard, I just can't remember what I was using!! I am just getting over being sick for the last week. I think it was a BBC website, or something affiliated with that!! But if there is a Celtic Language forum right here, then here is where I'm going to stay!!! BTW, how do you get the little accent mark over the a in 'failte'? Or more to the point how do I get it???
Thanx again, everyone for the great welcome!! I feel right at home here!
I'm glad you found us and I am sure that you will find that we definitely share your enthusism for all things Celtic. It really covers such a broad range of culture - from Irish, to Scottish to Welsh.
A well known group on the festival circuit commonly refers to the biggest Celtic nation as America!
I have 3 kids ages 6, 12 and 16 (Daughter, Son, Daughter) and they love being involved in the culture.
I hope that my kids embrace the celtic heritage as much as I do. They are learning Gaelic right along with me so I hope it helps. They say that kids pick up languages other than their original much easier than adults and if that's the case then maybe they can help me in the process!!
Man, I hope I live long enough to see my kids at 12 and 16, but at the rate their going that doesn't look promising!!! A few gray hairs I can live with but complete insanity probably wouldn't work!!
Yes, I feel better now. Surprisingly my lungs never did get coughed up, although that was a concern for awhile!! And my head didn't explode either, which wasn't always a blessing at the time!!! But things are returning to normal so all's well that ends well!!!
BTW, dundee, sorry I gushed at you earlier! I was just so excited to finally get the notes for that song. I have been looking for them for about a year now!! I now have the first part down and am working on my speed!!!
