:(  You want us to choose a favorite breed and give a very limited choice. I see you wanted to make it easy on us.  Well I guess under Appaloosa, one would include POA and Tiger. In cattle country, the Quarter horse is is the favorite.  But how could you have not listed the Candian, Icelandic, Halfinger, Paso Fino, Plantation Horse, Spotted Show Horse, Curly, Mustang, and hundred of other breeds.
::hehe It would have blown dad's computer to have listed them all.

hey! I can't vote! my favourites are shires and clydesdales!
but to spak truly, the nicest horse I ever met was an arabian-appaloosa-mix, the mare was soo cool!

but still, I like heavy horses like belgians, shires, noriker, clydesdales and baroques like: andalusian, Lusitan, Alter real, Friesian, Lippizzan and also I like Shagyas very much.
(Both from character and from appereance).

I had put these poll into: Heavies (draughts), Warmblood (Hannoverian, Quarter, Baroques) and Thoroughbreds (Arabian, English, Berber)

Well, my favorite breed isn´t here... it´s the lusitan horse, of course, the horse breed of Portugal! :D

It´s a fine horse, gentle but strong.

But all the others are just fine. Afterall, for me, all animals are grandious and valuable.

Kiss,

Kaia

Camargues are quite cool, too. the uncle of a french friend of mine breeds them.
But I don't have a fave breed, the horse should have a good personality.

Btw: Lusitanos are beautiful!!

I´m very happy you think the lusitanos are beautiful, Aon. Have you ever seen one in front of you?

One of the most beautiful things in the world is a wild horse running free, don´t you agree?

It's not a shire, it's a clydesdale and the man next to it is my boyfriends uncle *grins*

Kaia, there is a breeder on a farm not far from me who has 1 Lusitano & 1 Alter Réal Stallion... also 2 mares of each race.
they are beautiful....

HI all, I'm a person that can never figure out what I like the best.  I think all horses are great.  Each breed is usually bred for a certain purpose, whether it's a work horse or a race horse.  But since I do have a Standardbred and I know her, and her personality and all, I will have to say she is my favorite.   :rolleyes

:D I'm with maggiemahone1, what ever breed I have at the time is my favorite breed. We can't tell what breed Moca Fudge is, she must be Hienz's 57, but she is breed to a Pony Of America. That is what her colt will be, and POA was what we were looking at for Gwen's dream horse. That is one of my favoite breeds.
Aon so glad your boyfriend comes from a horse family. At least he can understand your love of horses, if not share it.

I personally like Quarter horses out of all! Although I think all horses are beutiful and are special in every way.  I think when I grow up I will have a barn full of quarter horse. But I have to have one paint because my mom adores paints! There is a paint at the barn named shiloh , and my mom would be standing by his stall talking to some one or sumthing and he woulr steal her keys out of her pocket!!  My friend kate bought shiloh and he seems even happier with her as owner!! :D I like the kindness of quarter horses and the beuty. Mombo is a quarter horse and I love him!!! ::hehe

::viking Well lassie, you are very lucky to have met only kind quarter horses. Out in cattle country, where the quarter horse is king, I've seen more out & out onerry quarter horses, than kind ones. They have a mind of their own; and if they think they can do without people, they have to be broke to ride everytime they are brought off pasture. There is a lot to love about the breed too. They come in the Pinto colors.
