Hi Everybody,

Wow! This sure seems like a friendly site. I must admit, however, to being a bit nervous to taking the plunge and start sending messages. I've been visiting many sites to see what this is all about, tho, and I like what I see.

I'm not sure what to say about myself. I am proud of my Scottish ancestry and I enjoy Celtic music very much. I live on a farm in the foothillls of the Smokey Mountains with my husband of 34 years, three very large dogs and a couple of horses. We have two married children and five terrific grandchildren. I guess that about says it all!

Bye for now,

Janet

I don't get the opportunity to do this very often as I am usually asleep at the wheel but Welcome aboard Janet!!

I'm interested to hear about your handle Bluegrass Lad, I think that there are a number of people on this board besides myself who share an interest in Bluegrass Music as well as Celtic.

Again Welcome

Mikel

From one newbie to another, much welcoming Janet!!

The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is, that it is robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error. ~John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859

Thanks Raven for the welcome.

Regarding my name, BluegrassLady, I picked it more for the region where I live than the music. I do enjoy a lot of different types of music, tho. Depends on my mood. One of my favorites is the the soothing instrumentals of Celtic. Sure does relax me. However, when I am riding in the car with the top down, I like Cher and Rod Stewart!! biggrin.gif

Wow!!

It looks like I'm going to have to try and stay a bit more on top of things to stay current.

So, Hi and welcome to Nathansecesh. I've got a funny feeling you will be of particular interest on the board. I hope you add to the philosophical debates and religious discussions.

Dragonfly and Caldwell; Hope to see you posting and sharing with all of us. Everyone has opinions, and there's really no need to feel shy about sharing yours.

I'd like to give an official welcome to Leto, SCShamrock and BluegrassLady!

As you can see, it is not CelticRadio that makes this a favorite destination for many, but it is the members and the people here that make it such a great place to visit.

Again, Céad Mile Fáilte (Hundred Thousand Welcomes!)
