Very beautiful dog, Monarch! It is sad when we have to say goodbye to our furry friends, isn't it? Their lives are just too short. sad.gif Thanks for sharing!

Yes it is very sad but since she got so old and was always in good health and died in her sleep it was much easier. I find it harder to have them in pain and having endured so much and in the end it doesn't help them at all.

So I am glad that she was my best friend when I was young. It's been so long since she is gone so that I have only fond memories of her. My long walks with her alone when I was just 10 years old.

I will post some more of my other dogs I had, when I have the chance to upload their pics in my computer.

What a gorgeous dog!
Its truly a blessing to have a furry friend to love - and who love us back.

Could someone please tell me how I can upload a picture of my dog? I try to upload a file and I get an error message telling me that I can't upload a picture of this type. I'm not surprised, being that it can only be 50K. mad.gif This is the second time I've tried this. I know that I am supposed to upload them to the website and then provide the hyperlink. I have done this on another board that I am member of. Please, someone, tell me what's wrong! I really want you all to see my dog Coal. Thank you.

Wow! Susie! I wish I lived close to your Sheltie rescue group. We have one here in Phoenix, but the guy is a bit difficult to deal with. I have always gotten rescue Shelties and they are my favorite. I raised two as pups once, but never again. I think about it from time to time, but no way. I will take a rescue Sheltie over a puppy anytime! I got my Irish from a Sheltie breeder who couldn't give her the time and attention anymore. Nikki is a rescue.

dragonboy! Thanks! My sister asked me how I got them to pose for that photo, but they are such intelligent dogs that they know when to sit and stay for a photo! I actually took several of them like that.

Freekenny! That must have been fun doing all that decorating around all that furry activity! LOL I would have loved to have seen that! I would love to see photos of all your animals!

You live in Phoenix!? I'm going out there to meet my boyfriend's mother in May. Interesting.

Photos of my dogs are on-line at http://www.norwestcompany.com/swanny/home.htm#Dogs. Unfortunately since the last time that page was updated our littlest pup was struck and killed by a car. That was only about three weeks ago so my wife and I are still grieving over that.

Aye! Chinook is so cute and beautiful!

ebendigo, what a beautiful dog! I love that breed and have always wanted to get one but I hear they are very active and need a lot of territory to run around in. They are very intelligent dogs!

Same here Celtic! I know a Border Collie is not fit for my lifestyle, yet I would love to have one.

Hi RivDan! I wonder where you had been! Been missing you. I don't live in Phoenix. I live about an hour south of there. Hope you like heat when you come to visit! biggrin.gif

Now to help you with your pic. Your file may be too large to upload on the site here. I always reduce my pics first. If you use photobucket or some other photo hosting site to put in a url link to upload in here and it still doesn't work, I usually resize my pic. You can do so by going to this link http://www.resize2mail.com. I usually do mine to the size of 5x7 and save it to my pictures, but make sure you rename it so you know which one is resized. Try that and then click on browse below and upload the photo to here from my pictures. Hopefully that helps. wink.gif Let me if I can help you somemore or I am sure anybody here can help also, probably better than I can! cool.gif

Here is our girl. She just got her Therapy Dog certification last week! thumbup.gif
We are currently working on adopting a retired racing greyhound too. I'll post more as soon as I know anything.

Where's the picture? I think Therapy Dogs are great! My dog has a certification through Delta Society Pet Partners.

I'll add one more picture. This is the reason my wife wanted to get Mina Therapy certified... (She loves to cuddle.)

Awww! How lovely! angel.gif That's a great thing you are doing.
