Right now, a song that always makes me want to get a Harley and hit the open road: "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf red_bandana.gif punk.gif ...

May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.

One of the best drinking songs ever...

A song guaranteed to get a whole bar singing when it's played on the jukebox...

"Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett

That last post inspired me to download alot of drinking songs and make the playlist which I am now listening to:

"Friends in Low Places", "American Honky Tonk Bar Association" and "Two Pina Coladas" by Garth Brooks
"Drunken Lullabies" by Flogging Molly
"Beer, Beer, Beer" by the Clancy Brothers
"The Pub With No Beer" by The Dubliners
"Bad to the Bone" by George Thorogood
"Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett
"Tessie" by Dropkick Murphys (I'm sure Paul is sick of that one-it's the Red Sox' anthem)

Listening to Evanescence! Oh, I do so love this CD! I am surprised I have not worn it out! biggrin.gif

Oh that's funny, I just had 'Bring Me To Life' running around in my head. I thought I'd misplaced my Evanescence cd until this week when I found it in the truck - it was up in the pocket of the sun visor! Well doh - who'd a thought to look there.

SB

Oh, as far as what I'm listening to, its a little cd I found at Target called "France Cafe Music" and it's the almost stereotypical songs you hear in movies when the characters are in a cafe in Paris - I'm sorry, but I like it and it brings to mind a painting trip I was on 4 years ago in June! I swear it doesn't seem like 2001 was that long ago... how did the years go by so fast........

The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king..."

I swear I love those kids!! Skillet, I mean.
You know they were on some award show, the one for Christian music I think, and its going to be re-broadcast in July so at least I'll get to see them in action. They were at 6 Flags at Atlanta Fest last weekend, but I'm sorry - I don't brave this heat and that small little venue even for Skillet. I'll hold out til the autumn tour season begins & hopefully they'll be on tour around here.

Panhead indeed. Fan-addict, for sure!

Not listening to anything right now.

I know what I'll be listening to 12 hours from now: the last half hour of "A Prairie Home Companion" on KQED out of San Francisco. Garrison rules!

A friend told me just last evening that she and her husband recently went to a Prairie Home Companion concert of some kind, at Chastain Park in Atlanta. I don't know if Garrison himself was there, but my friend said it was such fun watching 'a man' make all those sound effects she'd heard on the radio show!

Yeah, Garrison would've been there.

Right now, I'm listening to "The End" by The Doors.

My "Rockin'" playlist on iTunes...

Right now, "Karn Evil 9: First Impression, Part 2" by Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Very good to listen to with headphones on...

Wouldn't you know it, as soon as I post this, the song ends. Now it's "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin. Also good to listen to with headphones.
