DISCIPLINE MUST BE A HABIT SO INGRAINED THAT IT IS STRONGER THAN THE EXCITEMENT OF BATTLE OR THE FEAR OF DEATH.
General George S. Patton

Laws that forbid the carrying of firearms, disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assulted, and better for the assailants. They serve rather to encourge, than to prevent homicides. For an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

Do you know that I'm putting off fixing my car so the Mrs. can have hers running well? Isn't it obvious I know how to stay married tongue.gif ? Do you think that I'll get stronger arms since my power steering is out?

Do you know you probably will, that should be a great cardiovascular work out for the upper body. do you know you should find a nice long winding road and go for a long drive. But don't you know you'll be to tired to drive back home. And did you know that a body could learn from the Mark techniques of staying married. biggrin.gif

Don't you know you were missed here, and don't you know I know what you mean about the heat. We have had to run the A/C all night the past week because it only drops down into the mid 90's. But did you know that all changed today and it's going to stay in the mid 80's for a few days.

Do you know how lucky you are to have mid 80's? Did you know that they are saying that there is no relief yet for these high temps?Did you know that the humidity is high which makes it even worse? Do you all know I missed you all as well and that it is good to be back?

did you know that it is already about 90 outside this morning? Do you think we will have to stay in the pool the whole afternoon just to keep ourselves cooled off?

Do you know that it looks like our cool off is about to end. Do you know that the temps are going to climb back up into the 100's plus again. Do you also know that I think we are in for a very long hot summer.

Do you think that the heat will ever end? Did you know that it wasn't as bad today, but I was hoping for a little rain? Do you all have plans for labor day weekend?

Wow, has it been a long day, or what? Did you know that this was the first double funeral that I have ever preached? Can you believe there were around 300 people present?

How can Labor Day be a day of rest since the wife and I will be traveling to Albuquerque for a meeting? Won't it be great to be with our youngest son, though?

How sad Haynes that you had to preach a double funeral, was it hard? Do you know I think I would spend my weekend traveling if I got to see one of my kids that I might not see very often?

Did you know that it is pouring down rain? Do you think that it will be enough to revive my plants that I have neglected for the last few days?

Do you know that School starts for my kids tomorrow? did you hear that my littlest will be heading to Kindergarten, do you think I will cry?

Did you know that the funeral went well? How many people's lives had these two folks touched? Can you believe how many people have told me the message was a help?

Do you think Mrs. Haynes9 will be able to find a "mother of the groom" dress in Phoenix this Friday? How hot is it going to feel with the humidity up?

Did you know that I found out that it's going to be 109 in Phoenix today? Can you imagine how it's going to feel since the low will be a cool 90? Am I glad that I got the A/C in the car fixed or what?
