Just having a morning coffe and listening to Higlander Radio and checking out the forums. It's very cold out this morning and not looking forward to leaving the house. However on Feb 12th we are headed to The Dominican for a one week break from winter. Time can't pass quick enough righr now.
The Scots of course insist that the pipes produce music. But the point is after all not too important. For those who love them, the pipes can evoke more vividly than any other instrument, high emotion, they can inspire valor, and tell of tragic tales of battles long ago. They can call forth merriment or sentiment. It does not matter what the sound is called, those who are deaf to its merits would not understand anyway.
Got up late this morning had a hard getting to sleep last night don't know why.Having coffee and checking out what has been posted and doing some. Found a new dragon egg on here so clicked on that one. Boy do I hate being Laid Off it's sooooo boring.
I was listening to our local 11pm news and they talked about a casino being built in Sturgis Michigan ,hey thats where I live. So Feb. 11 7:00pm I will be at the Sturgis City Hall along with alot of people to voice what we think. I am for it.They said it will be built just off the 80/90 toll road ( Howe/Sturgis exit) which is about 2 miles from where I live.
I just had to tell someone about this. Can you tell how I feel?
Harlot I am glad your spirits were lifted. It does wear a person down daily looking for a job. Are there casinos in that area already or is this new territory for that type of business?
"Nature always wears the colors of the spirit." -
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.
In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.
"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves."
