With everybody talking about their ages lately, I have to chime in - You're only as old as you feel, guys! And, since a lady never tells her true age, nobody really knows mine. wink.gif

I'm home again today because I apparently aggravated things yesterday by sitting at my desk for 5 hours. I'm very, very stiff and achy now and contemplating hitting the heavy-duty meds just to get some relief. Since I'm not at work, I can do that. Yesterday, I had to make do with just the Motrin at work.

BTW,one of my daughters has a birthday on April 6, also. She's in good company!

pre-bat, yes, you need to take it easy because sometimes it takes 2 to 5 days before you really start to feel the stresses and strains your body suffered. The meds help so your body can relax from pain and recover quicker.
Get a nice cup of tea, warm blanket and take a nice nap. Maybe DoA has some herbs he can recommend for soreness.

Rindy, you are like me, thats how I tell spring, smell the dirt!!!. We are just seeing the red tint to the maple saplings in the woods. If you look at them from askew you can see the red tint, the buds are getting ready!!!!! There is a spot on the way to work that I like to stop at by the brook that smells so good come spring and the rains of April!!!!!! Then come the pastel greens of all the different plants, shrubs and trees. What a great time!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUOTE (Camac @ 27-Mar-2008, 08:22 PM)
Just sitting here thinking how families drift apart and loose touch until tragedy hits. Out of sight, out of mind or is it a sign of the times we live in with our busy lives?

Camac.

Dear Camac, yes there is a bit of like you say out of sight, out of mind and busy lives.
But there is also, I think, a change in values from generations to generations. Unfortunately we live in a world where both parents works and family are not as big as they use to, and again a lot of single-parents.

In our family which today is considered a big family (6 kids) we don't see each other often but we make and take the time to organize a family reunion.
Either it could simply a gathering at my parents house for a summer picnic.
Or let's say it's one of our parent birthday we go to the restaurant and we will invite the aunts and uncles to join us.Nothing fancy just a gatheting.

I just think today people are loosing touch because they just don't take the time.LOA
