Working, but on my break. I wasn't supposed to be in tonight, but someone called off sick. Oh well.

Settling down with a cup of Hazlenut coffee. Just turned on my Highlander radio, reading my emails from yesterday, trying to wake up. Didn't sleep well for the 3rd night in a row.

Wondering when I'm going to get a phone call here at work that's a computer-generated one so I can torture them by hitting the # button many, many times. I like that and I'll see how it works. I get those calls every so often at the office.

Rejoicing that I got a message from a friend, and the message has made me happy. New friends are to me more valuable than jewels or gold.

Planning out the design for a new quilt that my friend and I were just commissioned to make. This is going to be a new venture that I'm excited about embarking upon. My mom left a huge amount of quilting fabric that I've wanted to use to make quilts for sale but I've recently found that a friend of mine has a quilting machine and she's been doing a little quilting on the side for a while. We've decided that with me doing the piecing of the quilt top and her doing the finishing up (quilting and binding) we should be able to divide the work pretty evenly and we're going to see where that takes us. A friend has hired us to make a quilt for her so..we're off and running! or should I say off and sewing!

I was off last night so I'll get a few things done before I go to work tonight.

It looks like we are in for some bad weather. On no not again.

Wombat my sister does quilting and she has even designed a few. She did one that we raffled off called the Isle of Ireland (varies shades of green) anyway we made a tidy sum of money. Sh also did one called summer time in GA.

We let me get the music started.

It's getting dark over here so I'm getting ready to peruse weather.com to see what's happening!

A couple of the gals from my office just left to get some lunch but I'm glad I have my soup here. It's definitely dark outside. I just read where one of the hotels downtown that had window damage from the tornado this weekend is now having more window trouble due to the high winds we have. They had to close down the neighboring streets because glass was falling.

We don't have any warnings yet but it's just looking like we're in for something nasty.

Emailing back and forth to my quilting buddy who, apparently, is either as busy as I am or as bored. (teehee)

Thanks for the protection, Druid. Hope it will keep up for about an hour and a half so I can make it home without having to swim.
