The jester lifts his glass to The Monarch's Own. "Well met, Milady. It is good to see you here again." "Turning to the wizard, he replies: "I will offer what teaching that is within my poor powers, my friend."

Monarch's Own lifts her glass and thanks the Jester for the warm greetings and wonders what those two are about and mutters to herself it's funny that one man teaches another how to dance finishes her first glass of wine and keeps on looking what those two are up to.

"OK, not to worry, Wizard sir. You are not my species, let alone my type". The jester shows the wizard how to stand and the basic moves. "Now you are leading, just place your hands so and do the steps I showed you." After several minutes of steadily increasing grace, the jester disengages and says: "Very good sir, now try the same moves with one of the ladies." He raises his voice slightly. "Any volunteers?"

"Well if there is no one else, I guess that I will volunteer if I get asked" says Monarch's Own and waits patiently for another glass of wine.

Aragorn with a broad smile and quick step, bows to Monarch's Own and extending his hand asks, Milady would you be so kind as to be my dance partner? I noticed as you entered you move with such grace.

Aragorn looking a bit timid follows the good Jesters instructions twirling the bonnie Monarch's Own around the dance floor. With a smile and a laugh said, You dance devinely...

Monarch's Own laughs back at Aragorn and tells him that his dancelessons paid off and feels very comfortable in such a braw man's arms on the dancefloor.

*A shadow passes across the window. The SilverDragon, with folded wings, enters the pub and delicately makes her rather large way to a corner booth. She settles herself around it.*

Good afternoon, Ham. May I please have a large mug of cinnamon tea?

--------------------
Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the hand on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow
Who shall gather the smoke of the dead wood burning
Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?

* SilverDragon sighs, and looks despondently into her empty tea mug. *

Ham... oh, never mind. YOU don't have problems with irritating male dragons...

* Ham makes sympathetic noises about how getting along with the opposite sex is tough, no matter what species. He pours more tea. *

You are so right. My whole silent film collection! Didn't he think that I had them in asbestos for a REASON? He went in, opened the chest, and SNEEZED!

* Ham asks if any were salvageable. *

Um, Ham, those old films are on nitro-celluloid. As in nitroglycerin. As in the entire chest exploded and set my 1930's poster collection on fire...

* Ham murmurs that it certainly sounds upsetting. *

And then he had the nerve to be angry because I was upset! I give up. No more men for me... Ham, thanks for listening. I feel a lot better. Here's a scale for the tea.

*SilverDragon makes her rather large way out of the pub. A shadow momentarily obscures the moon through the pub window. A sound of massive wings flapping fades. *

A chill breeze suddenly blows into the Pub, smelling of damp pines, and for a moment the Moon's soft glow illuminates a hooded figure standing in the doorway. She shakes her cloak gently, and smiles at the warmth from the fire crackling near her favorite chair. Moving towards Ham at the bar, she greets him fondly and asks for a Bailey's. He knowingly brings her a double, and she laughs as she leaves several unusual stones in return. Sighing happily, she drops into her favorite chair by the fire and lets its warmth soak in. Only then does she glance around the quiet Pub, wondering where everyone has gotten to. Folks seem to be away more than usual, and she wonders what could be keeping them from such a comfortable haven.

A shape materializes near the fire, a cloaked man. He takes off his cloak then spreads it open and says "Come on out, and stay out of trouble!" Several owls fly out of his cloak to settle in the rafters. "Ham!" he says, "I'll have a root beer, good sir!"

"Hello," he says to the lovely lady sitting by the fire, before setting down in a nearby recliner in a cacophony of cracking bones. "It's awful to get old!"

A bit startled, she watches the shape materialize, but then smiles as she recognises a friend she hasn't seen for far too long. "It's good to see you again! And it's the weather, surely, not age that gives you pains tonight. This fire will soon have you feeling like yourself again." She sips her Bailey's as he also enjoys his root beer, then asks " Where have you been all this time??"
