Even someone like Patrick Stewart? Or are you referring to someone who is bald by choice? Bald men or bald women?

Normal is a relative term. For some reason it is not a term my relatives use to describe me.

Hey I'm in love with Patrick Stewart and you know it!

Hairless by choice (men) Men who choose to shave their heads scare me, sneaky, plotting bald men are up to no good. They sneak up on you at night and shine their heads into your eyes.....where are my sunglasses?

So, then if a guy walks into your salon and asks to have his head shaved you say no?

Of course not...I shave his head and say that will be $12 and give him my business card and a sweet innocent smile
(then after he leaves I make the sign of the cross on my chest) and get the wooden stake and mallet ready.

I had a female friend of mine try to get her head shaved and couldn't find a salon to do it. Have you ever or would you do it for a woman?

Sure a head is a head. Whether it's a female or male. The only difference is 2 things for a female.

#1. I would ask her why and to please think about this for another minute before we start cause it's going to take a long time for it to grow back.

#2. So it would not be too much for her emotionally I'd turn her away from the mirror until it's done unless she request to watch. That way she gets the shock at one time not to sit there and workherself up to the ultimate shocker. Women when they make major changes sometimes they get cold feet half way thru a haircut.
Then it's too late and they start getting upset.

Guys when they come in to shave their head they KNOW they want to do it!

The trick to shaving the head is to make the first cut an inverse mohawk. At that point, there is no feasible way of trying to save the rest of the hair. In for a penny, in for a pound.

Every grey hair is earned for both men and women and should be worn proud! After all it is much better then no hair. My wife's mother was a owner/ operator of a hair salon; she died a terrible death of pancratic cancer brought about by all the chemicals in hair color, hair spray, etc.

Ladies if you think you are going through all the gyrations of false color and fancy hair styles for us guys, think again. Grow it, wash it, let it dry...that is my type woman.

Shadows;
this is a remarkable point of view, especially for a man. Rare and hard to find. Most of us are far enough away from this "natural" way of viewing things. I appreciated it a lot to read your post.

Does this mean you stay "natural"? Are you all red?

No, I do not stay all natural with my head hair. I have a dark red natural tone and actually some silver grey in it. So I do color my hair in my natural tone. Because I want to do it at the moment. One day I'll certainly stop it and let it be naturally grey.

No, I wrote this comment because I do enjoy Shadow's point of view a lot. It's not what most of the men I got to know think. You see?

I appreciate Shadow's view very much, however, I am not yet able to accept the premature gray.

I recently got my hair cut. Went from about middle-of the back to a couple of inches below the shoulders. I love my new look... makes me feel more grown-up! haha smile.gif
However, I also decided that I wanted to highlight my hair. The $70 price tag they had for that service at the salon was a little much for me, so I picked up some stuff at the drugstore and had my mom do it for me at home. Well, I don't know if it was my mom, or the stuff, or both; but I did not get the results I wanted.
Now I have a couple of patches that are way too light, and some strange streaks that start and stop in the middle of a patch of hair. It dosn't look that bad, it just kinda restricts the way that I part my hair.
Oh well... it was a lesson. I should have stuck with my natural and waited for summer's sun to give me my natural highlights.
