A Shrule Egan you always surprise me by your wealth of knowledge you possess. I will get a package off this week to Ryan's platoon. I already have Matt's address for when he goes but I didn't have the list of what they need.
You are wonderful as usual!

Corrigan if your son's mailing address to send him packages is different than Ryan's (A Shrule Egan posted) please post it so those of us who want to can send along some packages to Nick and his buddies.
OK?
Almost forgot, Matt said they like to get Wet Ones so they can clean up.

My son is a Marine currently assigned to something in the South Pacific. A month ago he was in Okinawa, but since then his "group" (platoon/division?, I can't keep it straight) is aboard ship and is moving around somewhere doing something. He can't tell us what he's doing or where he's at, and we can't contact him. This "thing" that he is doing should be completed by the summer.

His mom and I pray for him constantly. He is a fine Marine corporal, tall and strong, and I am so very proud of him.

I read today that the Marines have been relieving soldiers of the Army's 82nd Airborne Division in the Fallujah area. That's the place where those animals mutilated the dead bodies of American civilians, supposedly done in revenge for Israel's assassination of Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin. Sometimes I want to be there myself and show those animals the very definition of the word "revenge".

While my son is not currently "in harm's way", anyone that knows the military knows that plans can change in a moment, and one day in the South Pacific can become a new day in Iraq.

I look forward to the day when, in Heaven, there will be no war, no fighting, no evil, and my son and I can sing together in the angel's chorus. Until then, though, he stands ready to give his all in whatever he's asked. He is my son and my hero.

I miss him.

I have been avoiding all newspapers lately, but the Fallujah tragedy got through my self-imposed censor. I can't and don't want to try to imagine what the families of those poor men are going through. I of course pray I don't ever find out...

Nick is in the 67th Signal Battalion out of Fort Gordon. They are still at a temporary camp so I don't know where to send stuff now. But I've got a bunch of stuff waiting to go! Oh yeah, I'll add Wet Ones, unscented I suppose. But I remember the first shopping trip I went with Nick after he moved out. He paid particular attention to the smell of the dryer sheets so as to pick one the girls would like. I hope his fiancee appreciates his attention to detail...

Pictures, people, pictures! Can we see one of Ryan? What about your son, Shamalama? The picture I posted of Nick shows Camp New York in the background (or did I already say that?).

I add my prayers to yours, Shamalama, that your son stays out of Iraq, to yours, A Shrule Egan, that Matt stays in Kuwait, and to yours, Annabelle, that it's over before he gets there!

Ryan is to the left, leaning against the helicoptor. Ryan is 6'4", so, imagine how tall the two guys are, in the middle of the picture.

Yes, ladies, Ryan is very single!!

Two years ago, his unit was returning from war games in Europe and they had a stopover at Shannon Airport in Ireland. Turns out, the girls know when the armed forces flights are landing at Shannon and are always there to greet them. When they saw that his name was Egan, they chased him around the airport the whole time he was there. They kept asking him, what part of Ireland he was from (his ancesters). He had no idea. When he got home, he asked his mother to find out. He's waiting to go back to Shannon now so he can let the girls know, "Shrule".

Here's another of Ryan.

When your around Ryan, he's nothing but a big teddy bear. You would never know he was New York State heavyweight wrestling champion in high school and he only weighed 220 lbs.

Very Good Looking!

Being a Marine must be very serious business... none of them are smiling.

I can see why you are very proud of him!

Thanks Knight!

A Shrule Egan, are you sure that he's your son? I can tell he's your's cause he looks just like you, good lookin and all but were you 12 when you made him? You can't be old enough to have a good lookin son that old! No way!
You look just like a babe yourself! Must have had some wild hormones when you were a teenager.
Ryan is a good lookin chap who takes right after the old man! And yes, I have 2 single daughters who are 24 oK! We could be related! Now didn't that scare the pants off of ya?

God Bless and keep Ryan and Nick safe always!

Oh! Oh! I know this one! (However, if I'm wrong please someone correct me so as not to confuse Annabelle). BTW if you own a Mac forget all this and ask for more help.

1. Do you mean the pictures are on your computer? If not go to end.
2. If yes, click on browse button right under the emoticons.
3. It will open up to the last folder you upload anything from, probably My Documents or within My Documents, My Pictures.
4. Find the pic you want and click on it to select it then click on open or double-click to upload.

I think that's it, but I can't remember...

If the picture is still on the camera we'll have to know if you upload to your computer or to your printer. If it's the latter you probably can still put it in your computer, it will just take some figuring out.

Speaking of emoticons, how do you use them? Is there an ettiquette?
