CelticRose,

Thank you! I don't think she understands things like appearance or size right now. She still thinks she's small enough to sit in our laps! She's our shadow, too-follows everyone around to the point of being underfoot. Mostly she concentrates on choosing the most likely candidate for **Play Time!!**, then sticks with you through thick and thin 'til you see it her way! laugh.gif She's a very loving girl, and very protective of our girls.

How old are your boys? What are their names? I bet they keep you hopping too!

Honestly Blue is not hyper..
She gets lots of excersise..

Sounds like Holly is getting all she needs ..

Dreamer I had a look at that site! I am amazed how similar that breed looks to her cousins! I too see a lot of Border in her. An average Sheltie is supposed to be between 13 and 15 inches. Nikki is about 15 and Teddy Bear is about 17. They are getting up there in age now. Teddy Bear is 13-1/2 and has arthritis so it is hard for him to get around much these days. He also had Valley Fever which people and dogs get here living in the desert. Nikki is 9-1/2. I hate seeing my boys getting old. They are like your girl..........follow me everywhere and always under my feet. They are also very protective of me. They can be handful sometimes when they get roweled up. They can get pretty hyper.

Anyway, your breed is very beautiful!

Paula! Glad you like Nikki so much! He is quite a sweet face!

I loved your pic of Blue! She is a beautiful girl!

Hi Celtic Rose!

I'm glad you went "visiting". Yes, the three breeds are very much alike. Sometimes my hubby says he thinks the English Shepherds could be really a subspecies of Border Collie, but I see more differences that set them apart, especially in temperament. Anyway, I'm glad you took a peek.

I'm so sorry about his arthritis! I know it breaks your heart to see him when he's having a bad time of it. Then other days he's probably just fine, up and back to the usual tricks. Dogs shouldn't be susceptible to arthritis, they just shouldn't! What's Valley Fever? I've never heard of it.

Both of your guys are gorgeous, and I bet they still keep you hopping! They look like they really like to play! Still have lots of spunk in them, and lots of time still too. Don't worry! laugh.gif

Hi Dreamer!

Valley Fever is a respiratory disease that is contracted through the spores of the desert dirt. Most everyone who lives in the southwest has had this at some point in their life. Caught early it can be treated. If not, it can make a person very very sick and can even spread to the brain! For a dog it can be very deadly and most dogs do not survive it. However, I caught the symptoms early and he was able to be treated. The medicine was so expensive to treat Teddy Bear with it was astronomical! I had to drive down to Mexico to get it much cheaper. Still cost me an arm and a leg though! He recovered after six months of having it, but he has a residual cough and gets short of breath very easily which walks are very hard for him too.

but my two boys get along very together and do play with each other a lot which is fun to see. I at one time had four of these dogs! Now that was a handful. rolleyes.gif
