Just found the Dragon's Back series by Timothy Zahn. I enjoyed it but the series isn't finished yet! How irritating to get to the end of the last book only to find out the rest of the story hasn't been written yet. There should be a law against that.

"'Mercy!" Cried Gandalf. 'If the giving of information is to be the cure of your inquisitiveness, I shall spend the rest of my days in answering you. What more do you want to know?'

'The names of all the stars, and of all living things, and the whole history of Middle-earth and over-heaven and of the sundering seas,' laughed Pippin. 'Of course! What less? But I am not in a hurry tonight."

I am reading MC Beaton's "Death of an Addict" with ever clever Hamish MacBeth coming to the rescue of Northern Scotland. tongue.gif

I'm also reading "My Dream of You" by Nuala O'Faolain.

I just got a shipment the other day that included "Ireland from the Air" by Fedirica De Fuca amd Antonio Attini (don't they sound Irish), "As it is in Heaven" by Niall Williams and a "Emerald Magic" edited by andrew M Greeley. That should get me through the weekend. biggrin.gif

At the moment I am reading the Ellie Chronicles by the Aussie author John Marsden, a book for younger teenagers (man I guess it wasn't written for me) called Charlie Bone and the Castle of Mirrors by Jenny Nimmo, a book on the San people of Botswana as well as my German Grammar book as I have a huge test coming up... Wish I somehow was transformed into a German professor during the test...

Has anyone heard of Mic Mac Adam? I'm afraid it's only written in French but still, take a quick look of this great "fellow":

I just finished Tamara Siler Jones second book Threads of Malice. She writes Forensic Fantasy novels, picture medieval CSI.

I would definately recommend her books, although they do deal with some graphic topics.

That is a good book - have read it myself a while back. There is a second book to it. "The Wild Rose of Kilgannon".

Hope you enjoy it.

I myself just read a few books

Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife (Pride and Prejudice continues) by Linda Berdoll
Dark Gold by Christine Feehan

and will hopefully read in the next day or two

Darcy & Elizabeth (Pride and Prejudice continues) by Linda Berdoll

I still haven't finished the Chronicals of Narnia, but picked up a few more books anyway and I just finished reading "A Walk Through The Woods" By Bill Bryson. He chronicals his adventure of hiking the length of the Appalacian Trail. A pretty good book and an easy read.

At the same time I picked up Angela's Ashes....I know...what kinda irishwoman am I if I haven't read this yet right....I'm working on it.

Hey Monarch.. how did you like Dark Gold? Have you read more of the Dark books? I have been thinking of reading that series but not sure if I would like the vampire aspect. I am reading Christine Feehan's Drake Sisters series, tho, and find I really enjoy her writing.

Right now, I have just started the third book of the Highland Series, by Karen Marie Moning: Highlanders Touch.
