Hi RivDan! welcome to the site! Hope you enjoy it here! smile.gif

Wanted to tell you that my sister-in-law is a published Christian romance novelist. Her name is Jeri Odell, if you see any of her books. She doesn't write any Celtic stuff, but I guess I just wanted to share.

I just finished a short book called The Second Mrs. Giaconda by E.L. Konigsburg.

I tried to find Somebody Else at the library but they didn't have it.

I guess I will read Kidnapped .....again.

That is way cool Celtic Rose! I believe perhaps someday that I will write books.

Brian, another really good book about Scotland is titled: Scotland, A Concise History by Fitroy MacLean. You might want to check that one out too. wink.gif

Currently reading "Glitz" by Elmore Leonard and a book on digital filmmaking. smile.gif I'm really into filmmaking right now though my other hobbies run the gambit between drawing and writing music. I've just been having trouble getting any writing done (or finished, for that matter) so the writing thing is on hiatus.

I love Glitz, Elmore Leonard's whole style really. He's more of a stream-of-conscience sort of writer which I really appreciate, along the same vein of Hunter S. Thompson (RIP) and Hemingway.

Gotta love literature!

Well, I believe that God wants me to use my artistic talents in some sort of way. I am a good writer. I believe he is calling me to write some fiction of any sort when I am older.

Pandora's Clock by John J. Nance.

It's about the occupants of an airliner who may have been unwittingly exposed to a Level Four virus, developed by scientists of the former Soviet military, that could cause a pandemic.

I know this feeling too, so because I'm less on the forums nowadays, I had time to read almost three books this week (alas, because of that I didn't have my count of sleep biggrin.gif ). I read two volumes of the Assassin's Quest series by Robin Hobb, I love this serie but the last volume I read was about dragons and I didn't like it (well you know, I'm not attracted by all those fantastic creatures... rolleyes.gif ).

I'm now reading "Aô, the ancient man" by Marc Klapczynski. It tells the odyssey of the last man of Neanderthal 40 000 years ago. I often ask myself thousand of questions about this period of history (well, I would have to say prehistory), when Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon were sharing the hunting territories, how they met ? was it violent, or were they simply curious ? How has Neanderthal disappeared ? science is not sure about all that, so there is a large place for fantasy...
