It has been very windy here in Arizona as well. Kind of getting on my nerves cause I have been out trying to take photos and the wind moves everything around! The nerve! Temps have been in the mid 80s, which has been nice for us as it can get very hot as early as April. We're supposed to have rain on Friday. We will see.
Well It's just turned midnight here in central British Columbia and the rains have been falling for a few hours. While it does freshen the air and make the brown things turn green - it's also causing our rivers to overflow their banks in some areas.
Yesterday we awoke to 2 inches of snow and it blizzarded all day. Husband had to go out and beat the trees to keep the branches from breaking. Today the sun is shining and it's already 40 degrees. In Idaho, if you do not like the weather, wait ten minutes and it will change.

There are 223 wildfires burning in 47 out of Florida's 67 counties; at least 50,000 acres. Yesterday, the smoke here was so thick that visability was less than a 1/4 mile most of the day, and everything's covered in ash. EMS has been running nonstop for all the COPD'ers and brittle asthmatics, and FD responding to thousands of indoor smoke alarms; the smoke is visible indoors too. We're hoping for a clean sea breeze today, but it's not likely.
My parents just got back from Fort Meyers and they said it was smoke all the way and they were glad to get out when they did before the highways were closed down. Good luck down there Emmet, hope you get the tropical storm rain they said is suppose to show up and help put out the fires.
Up here in the Michigan, no rain but some thunder. Still very dry and very cold. The local deer population is starting to wander back into town. Had three in the backyard tonight. Brrr. Triple blankets tonight.
