Monarch's Own, I remember at least two books by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss I read; one is "Ashes in the Wind" and the other one I really loved is "Petals on the River". Oh, and her first book was "Shanna", also very good.
I think you should give her a try!

I just discovered this topic and its great to see others who like me enjoy a good historical novel.

I've many books from Kathleen E. Woodiwiss the last I read was "The Reluctant Suitor" a very good story.

Other authors that I really do like is Bertrice Small who also is very accurate in historical events.
The first book that I started to read was " A year and a Day" from Virginia Henley which made me discover a few things that I was missing in my life and also learn more about scottish culture.

Of course i've read all of Diana Galbaldon's book as well. There was suppose to be a movie done about Jamie and Claire's story.

I specifically enjoy scottish stories because I found them very deep stories and that's what I like when reading a novel.

Just wanted to share my taste in books with you girls!!!

I don't know if any of you knew but a great author passed on in july and it is Kathleen E.Woodiwiss.Her last novel just came out and is called " Everlasting" if you have the chance to get yourself a copy you won't be disapointed I'm sure since I was a big fan of hers and read many of her novels and never was. She wrote so many good and deep stories.
I'll miss her talent in spinning detailed stories.

What a great author Kathleen Woodiwiss was. Some of her historical romances was the first I read when I got interested in that type of book.

I found some of her books when I was putting everything back in the bedroom. They were some of the first ones I read. I belong to the Harlequin Reader Service. I get 4 new Historical Romances every month.

I haven't bought any HR books since back in the summer. I've started reading some old ones I've had for quite some time! I cleaned out a closet this week and found a big box full and two small boxes. It was like finding treasure! biggrin.gif
Happy Reading!

I was not aware of any of her books, but thanks so much for sharing. Especially for those you who read and loved her work.
