Okay finished Only with a Highlander a few days ago already but was kinda busy - so I couldn't get my report. LOL
Well as usual Janet Chapman did a great story. This book talks about the 7th daughter of Greyland McKeage and his wife Grace.
She must come into her powers as a druid sooner then expected. All of those who read the books of J C might remember that Winter was supposed to come to Father Daar when she was old and lived already a long life. Well, things change and there come some interesting turns in this book. I wonder if there will be another book - maybe about Megan (6th daughter of Grey and Grace).
But I will not say more - otherwise I might spoil the surprise. Just can only recommend the whole series.
Charming the Highlander Loving the Highlander Wedding the Highlander Tempting the Highlander Only with a Highlander
Happy Pageturning.
Right now I am actually reading teen novel (all the Princess Diaries) by Meg Cabot. Something funny for a change. Also really good books for teenage girls to read. And easy to read - therefore relaxing. At least for me.
Well I finished the 6 books of the Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot and right now I am reading a Regency Romance - Lady Whilton's Wedding by Barbara Metzger.
Here is the short on the book:
When her cantankerous uncle Albert dies, Daphne Whilton vows not to let his death ruin her mother's wedding day. But to keep the new of his passing a secret, she must hide his corpse until the festivities are over. It's no easy task , though - Uncle Alber is proving to be even more of a nuisance after his death then he ever was alive. So when the bridegroom's handsome son, Lord Graydon Howell, lends a hand, Daphne is forever indebted to him - and soon hopelessly in love...
So far pretty funny - when the uncle is moved back and forth all over the place and by someone else and then everybody is looking for him. LOL
Hey Monarch! I wish I could read as fast and as much as you. Wow! You can really go through some books! I only just keep buying them!
Well I have had to read some 18thc American history and clothing era books lately, but right now I am trying desperately to finish Donati's, Fire Along the Sky! It has taken me way too long to finish this series and yet it is such a good one. I love the first (Into The Wilderness) and fourth book (Fire Along the Sky) the best. I gotta check when the fifth one is due out next!
I heard really good things about this series by Judith Merckle Reilly
Vision of Light The Serpent Garden In Pursuit of the Green Lion The Master of All Desires The Oracle Glass
Hey ImmortalAvalon - I've now finished 3 books of Gaelen Foley's. I have enjoyed them all! So....now must finish up her series...might add a couple of her books to my Christmas list!
As a plus, I just discovered that my local library has a small (and I do mean small) corner they sell used books in. To my surprise I found 4 books there I'd not read and bought them all for .25 each!! Yeah, so now I'll be checking that wee corner every time I go in there!
Well, let's see. Since I last wrote I finished "Fire Along the Sky" by Sara Donati and "The Spell of the Highlander" by Karen Marie Moning. Both were excellent books IMO! Now I am back to reading ABOSAA again by Diana Gabaldon. When I say again, I mean I got as far as the first six chapters. Now I am going the whole hog. I have since bought so many new books, it is disgusting and I seriously need "book buying therapy!"
I just finished reading "Touch not the Cat" by Tracy Fobes and "The Highlander" by Elaine Coffman.
I got a nice gift certificate from my in-laws so I could buy good books.
Bought me also the complete books (all books in one) of the Narnia Chronicles for 19.99 with 20% discount and 10% additional discount. That was nice. Just don't know when I get around to read it yet.
Other than that I got me several books - and hope they turn out as good as they sounded.
I need desperatly buy two more books to get my last to stamps on the card so I can save $10.00 on my next bookpurchase (Romance only though - but that is a good thing, Right????)
Some great books you mentioned there, Monarch! I have some Elaine Coffman books but have yet to read them! EEP .
Firecracker! I have heard really great things about Jude Deveraux as well. I think I have one of her books. Too lazy to get up and look though to tell you which one!
I am still reading ABOSAA by Diana Gabaldon and really enjoying it!
