I just bought my wife Inis (energy of the sea) for Christmas, and we both love it. It says it's for both men and women, but I would never wear it, but it smells just divine on my wife. smile.gif

I personally like Spark for myself.

Any woman wearing Lauren will quickly grab my attention. It reminds me of that time when I . . .

For me I like Old Spice and Drakkar Noir.

But since my sweet bride is migraine-sensitive to smells, neither of us wear any perfumes/colognes.

"Sunflowers" by Elizabeth Arden is my favorite. It is not too strong and not too light. And it is one of the few that doesn't make me gag.
If I want something that makes a bold statement, I go with a little bit of "Red Door" by Elizabeth Arden.
I wish the old women would not wear so much perfume. it makes me gag when I have to check them out at the grocery store!

Good point Maryellen, I too use Red Door but very little. I used to use Sunflower also until I just got tired of it. Have you tried the Fire and Ice?

Happy New Year

I use CK One by Calvin Klein. It's one for men and women. I don't like most women perfumes...I'm with Monarch's Own...I like the men's fragrances better! So, I just compromise and wear a unisex one. biggrin.gif

I wore Polo for the longest time, then did Curve for a bit and now when I wear anything, I wear Boss 6 from Hugo Boss. Sunflowers always makes me think of my high school sweetheart. I don't find many people that wear it anymore but it's funny how I can pick it out of a crowd when someone's wearing it.

If I were to make a fragrance, I'd want something that either smells like freshly mown grass or something a curry scent. I know, it's weird but there's just something about the smell of curry that appeals to me.

Finally, my sole complaint about "good smell 'um stuff" is people that wear too much of it, seems like all the teens I run into, boys especially, drown in it. I always went with subtle application so that people catch the occasional whif of it.

You are so right on that. When I was in high school, there was this one guy whose locker was right next to mine. I think he bathed in Drakkar. Drakkar is a very strong, very expensive cologne. I wore it for about a year. When it comes to fragrances, I'm of the "a little bit goes a long way" mentality. This other guy must've been of the "if a little is good, a lot is better" mentality.

My hubby and I both are allergic to colognes and perfumes, but I can get away with wearing Happy by Clinique and I absolutely love it. It is very light and I get a lot of compliments when I wear it.

I have to wear after shave. If I use cologne, I get a rash.
