Oh I like Eamon's Avatar! I always use the lines from the movie all of the time. When someone does something so strange I always say" you know he's not right in the head, that one". SO I like your avatar!

Now getting back to snow! Be careful with all of that Black Ice. We use to get alot of that over in Annapolis, Md. Made getting around difficult. My volvo wagon use to go thru it when other cars slipped on the ice. One time it took me 3 and a half hours to get home which was usually a 20 minute drive from Annapolis to Severna Park. Be careful out there fella!

Annabelle, thank you Lass! My Avatar likes your Avatar as well (he thinks she's a hottie!) but tell her to be careful, he is not good dinner company! (He eats with his hands, speaks with his mouth full, twitches, etc!)

You used to live in Annapolis? Great town, I try and spend several weekends on the Bay a year, usually in St. Michaels. Sailed around Chestertown MD in the Pride of Baltimore II last month (yes it was COLD!)

sad.gif It looks like here today that we may not have a White Christmas after all. It has warmed up here into the mid 40's with a light rain. Now most of the snow is gone except where the snow plows pushed it into piles. Oh well, we have another week before Christmas yet so who knows. Anyway as long as it stays warm the heating bill goes down. biggrin.gif

Rosemary..
Thanks but that was the best of the ones I got of the trees..
The lens kept fogging.. it was a night--
all that strange blue wave light...

I love that !

Like my "neighbor" Richard, it warmed here some today..
Melting everywhere...

I am sure we will get more ..
and I will get better with the digital ...
I hope LOL..

A nice warm balmy 57 degrees here today in the mountains of WV. A beautiful day, but supposed to start raining and changing to snow later tonight.

Gosh you guys, looks like any chance for snow here is gone for good this year tongue.gif .

Its now been five days since we've had any rain and the wind has shifted to the north east. That means summertime. Blue skies, nice breeze off the Pacific, palm fronds rustling in the night, coconuts falling on people, you know, summertime stuff. So, I guess I will quit holding my breath for any snow in the tropics this year, that will definitely make it easier to stay concious at least. Nice 90F weather for the next five or six months. Soon of course, we will be gagging on the clouds of dust blowing off the parched earth, but for the present the prospect seems pretty pleasant.

Happy to report that there is snow today in north Georgia, but sad to say we're too far south down here near Atlanta to get any ourselves.
Probably just as well, because none of us know how to drive in the stuff so as soon as there is a hint of a drift, all the highways go into a panic & there are traffic accidents everywhere. laugh.gif laugh.gif

So far we have a total of 7 inches here in WV. It's still snowing, but supposed to taper off this afternoon. Anyway, it paints a beautiful picture outdoors.

7"! Wow... I haven't seen snow like that in years.

My husband and daughter are going skiing in January in North Carolina, I hope they get some good snowfall like that while they are there. I believe they'll be near Boone...
