SWEEEEEEEEEEET!

I love the part where you say....
Soaring on silent wings
a spector of the night
And now another becomes victim to the night
Still the music carries on
And the song sung again

this is cool!

wink.gif Jason, you sure like making us wonder what your really writing about. In many of your pieces you have written, I find several layers of meaning or inferrence. Not many writers I have come across have this ability. Your gift is very rare indeed and inspires me as a writer!

WOW.... Thank you!!!!
It really makes it much easier to post things with such supportive friends and other writers. I have *always* shyed away from sharing things I write. Thank you for the confidence, and all the kind words!!!!

I know the things I write are not the usual pennings..... Normally strange and unusual to most...well if the shoe fits.... wink.gif

Thank you again, and again, and again!!!!

An owl is who I see there =) There are others who sing similar immortal songs, yet it is the owl with which it is most associated, so that's the placement I see =)

Didn't mean to ruin the fun tongue.gif

I'm bad for that I guess, always want to explain myself when someone's trying to be satcastic. It's not that I don't recognise the sarcasm, guess there have been just too many times when someone was being serious and I misread it as sarcasm, that it throws up my defenses...

I heard the news today-
JPM

She sat him down
Held his hand
Told him of what they had not planned
A moment in time
Stopped mid frame
Two lost hearts
forever entiwined by her words
and the gift to arrive in the months to come
Chesshire smile crossed his face
Now knowing his purpose, his place
for what news had been told today
Through thick and thin, good and bad
He proudly accepts the role of 'dad'

No, not me. My sis in law, and one of my best friends...... Two people that have been handed bad cards in the love department. And they were knudged to one another..... If two people I care about deserve to be happy, it's them........

One day though.......one day.....

Jason, I know you would make a great dad---especially when tucking the wee ones in for the night...Oh, the stories you'd tell to lull them into dreamland. sleepy.gif sleep1.gif

Ode to John Barleycorn

His head rose with the morning sun
day in, day out, he slaved under swealtering sky
Autumn approched and he stood tall
with gold and russet hair that whisped in the wind
Three men, sythes so sharp
Cut Johnny down
He was bound and crushed with stone
Three took his life, and three times taken
Cut, crushed, and drowned
S now in memory of him
We raise a glass
Give toast to him for his sacrifice
Tae the life of the fields with in our glass
John Barelycorn we drink the last
